I had plat to blow so I bought a wand of allure. Three charges insta-click charm. If someone were looking for a fun solo challenge, what are some camps that a 60 chanter can do with a wand, which would be near out of the question without one? Chardok prince is the only thing that comes to mind, but I know there are people with far more chantering experience than I have.

Vendor buyback is ~252 plat, so it's worth recharging.
Would definitely keep it in mind when 1. the target is unstunnable and especially also unslowable and 2. the kill or cr is worth more than that few hundred plat range.
Vessel Drozlin is another place where it can save you a lot.

Great tool for tough fights and bad situations  or stacking chain pets.

As others are saying I mostly see it used as a get out of jail free card when things go sideways or when a pet break means guaranteed death otherwise. Seems like also a bit of necessity for contested epic

VT isn't that bad, I think most chanters pull an animation since there's no great pet in zone anymore and you can't solo it.
For VD when charm breaks you got slow immune VD beating on you and a magic resistant trooper riding your ass on VOG + Torch so you want to get things back under control yesterday, especially when there's other chanters breathing down your neck hoping you die so they can pick him up. Soloing the ape in FOB is similar since he has a ton of HP and troopers don't hold charm good.
For most other kills it is basically a back up option in case things get dire and you really want that kill, or avoid death. IIRC prince is like a 2h respawn and not many people go down there so you can usually afford to retry if it goes sideways but if you can blow a charge to avoid having to prep everything again then why not.

There are lots of potential situations where it's a life/time saver. You just have to judge how much damage you've already taken, how much aggro you have into the mob, etc. Sometimes you're gonna waste it in an unrecoverable situation, more often you're probably going to wish you used it.

You could sell it to a vendor, or trade it to another player or NPC, or equip it in your primary slot.
