If there is loot of any kind, we will divide the loot by EITHER Pop roll (if under 7 items), or if there are 7 somethings, and there are 7 guilds in attendance we will just all get 1 piece.

Again, I'm not in any way a representative and can't promise anything, but I believe the intent is clear: this is meant to be a server-wide event led by Kingdom, not a Kingdom event, and as such the loot (if any) is meant to be distributed in a way that's at least a somewhat fair for everyone.

Whether you trust the Kingdom leadership or not is up to you; if you don't, I don't think anything they can say will change that.

The far bigger issue is going to be killing the mob. But if that somehow happens, there's a lot more than a fool's hope ... if the staff went out of their way to itemize Jaled Dar just for this attempt.

This is very close to my greatest hope for Green server - that, like Zek on live, the players would gear up for years and eventually wake and attempt to kill the Sleeper.

Of course people just woke the sleeper without even trying to kill it. Lame.

GMs have traded items to mobs before to give them loot numerous times.

I was lucky enough to win (among 1.5k+ people) my first ever raid loot Tinker Bag. Far more importantly, I had an amazing time, and nearly died laughing multiple times (eg. the giant froglok fearing hundreds of people was priceless)!

My understanding is that it was actually not set to what it's classic incarnation should be (lower HP pool, didn't have all its AEs, etc.) so the GMs spawned a massive Froglok for people to kill as well that dropped a bunch of loot.

I think maybe they intended to put the loot on Jaled Dar, but we killed it so fast they didn't have a chance to ... thus the follow-up giant froglok.

Honestly though I think the frog might have been even more fun than a full-strength Jaled Dar: JD would have just had a lot of hit points, whereas the frog seemed to have every raid mob weapon in the game.

P.S. Fun EQ trivia fact: anyone wonder how Jaled Dar became a shade? He was killed by someone you probably know, and if you've ever been inside Sebilis, you've even completed a quest with him.

Seemed like it was just an insert random raid mob ability here every 30 seconds or so. Fear, gflux, he would jump way up in the air and slam down shaking the screen like it was a quake, aoe dmg. Felt a lot more like what you would have expected going into Jaled Dar not knowing that you can just sieve JD and he won't cast any of his abilities and then realizing he only had less than 1 mill HP, not the 3mill stated on Wiki.

Blistig has been messing with customizing spawned NPCs for a bit. Frogginator 1.0 was spawned in ST a few weeks back but it was mostly just a high HP/damage mob. Since then he's had some help in the UN with using a few commands which is what gave 2.0 more abilities.

He'd periodically jump away with yellow flavor text which I think was just a CSR/GM summoning it and sending the text but it was a nice touch.

Would be interesting to fight froginator 2.0 in a more controlled setting. We had so many people there it was just a giant zerg, can't really get a feel for how hard the mob really was. Certainly was a whole lot harder than Jaled Dar.

Would love to see individual guilds take on the challenge of defeating him.
