Yeah should be some preventative measures to keep that from happening but the only people who would want them gone is the 20 miserable people who did it the first go round. Other people would want warders loot before they did that

server ain't dead, p99 and quarm are usually neck and neck at any given time of the day (even before DBG capped quarm at 1200), only difference is p99 population is split amongst 3 servers.

Couple weeks ago we hit 1000 on a saturday on green. On EST time evenings we went from 600-700 to more like 800.

This is abysmal in terms of peak p99 but I'm sure a lot of steam game devs would kill for a steady 700 a decade after release.

I play every day. At prime time in the evenings on week days, and on weekends between noon and late evening

Green 600-800 players consistently
Blue 300-400 players consistently
Red 15-35 players consistently

Why are you using off peak hours for your argument?

I agree Blue and Green should be merged and a new server started. They can steal Reds hardware for the new server launch. But don't cherry pick numbers for your premise.

Is bringing the warders back a permanent solution? Perhaps not, but that would add years of play time (it would take a player years to accrue the dkp to buy all the good warder stuff) and mix / liven up the raid scene

Just the grind of the early levels? I personally hate the first 1-20 levels. I know people have sunk a ton of time into their blue toons but that is sunk cost at this point.

Green is just as sunk cost at this point too though. I didn't switch in the beginning and I did end up regretting it eventually. But by that point Green was already in Velious and "winding down" anyways.

May as well wait for the new server at this point. Which I think everyone else is doing too on Blue and Green since the pops are getting dangerously low.

A lot of people have like 10 years worth of gear and a bunch of friends there, don"t necessarily want to leave this behind but I'm sure most wouldn't oppose a merger.

If you're a soloer blue is probably heaven. As long as EC is populated enough to buy/sell, you're good.

Most people don't want to play dead mmos, it's a self fulfilling prophecy if a game starts spiraling down in pop. Spending a a few months leveling a character on an already dead server that becomes even more irrelevant if/when a new server launches would be a pretty crappy feeling. If you are having fun with that, then great, nobody stopping you lol.

^^^^^ Precisely. I prefer being able to have a casual time these days as opposed to having to poop sock an exp camp. So do many of the people that still play - which is alot. Green Server was up over 600 players consistently this weekend.

New people still join. Not as much as it used to be, but there's still as steady trickle in.

I hope the people who would come back for warder loot never come back. Pixel hungry, greedy, antisocial pricks.

Yea I still see new players often. Just last I saw naked noobs outside black burrow and saw a full group doing slavers in crushbone. Now do these players get to raid level or quit before. I suspect a lot of new blood gets stuck in the 30s where I feel the pop is the lowest in terms of leveling groups.

We're like 20 years past MMO prime, even with a new server the vast majority of players would be existing/returning ones. I don't think new players are a good metric, it will always only be just a trickle. P99 barely even exists in the public consciousness outside our community.

The swing player loved classic, loved teal and loved being the only one to have the ranger sword with wild from vox. They have been gone for many years now. Don't adapt, renew.
