Pre-Kunark - Level 50 cap server

I think pre-Kunark (50 or below), ideally pre-Fear server would be fun, should have a separate server in addition to Green and Blue:

March 16, 1999 - Official Game Lauch

July 26, 1999 - Plane of Fear Era - Cazic/Dracoliche loot (pre-revamp drops), Russet Armor, Cryosilk Armor

November 3, 1999 - Plane of Hate Era - Innoruk/Maestro pre-revamp drops, ie. Kunark mid-upper levelish drops, mainly 2h and bard, no more Russet and Cryosilk but class specific armor drops

October 13, 1999 - Temple of Solusek Era - Class mid-level gear, no more Rubicite, jboot, but class specific armor quest + AC quest etc.

February 17, 2000 - Paineel Era

January 20, 2000 - Plane of Sky Era - Mid/upper level Kunark loot, 41% haste belt etc

April 24, 2000 - Kunark Launch - So anything before

it sounds like whenever you want to replay a game you give yourself stupid rules to give yourself a sense of something new but instead of moving on and accepting it you double down and force joy out of something that died a peaceful death years ago

i got an idea, we play the Everquest TTRPG while sitting in EC tunnel, i never played it but i assume the classes and loot is the same

gear you get in the ttrpg you put on the EC tunnel character who is the class/race of the ttrpg character

then when we kill vox or something in the ttrpg they'll unlock the new server

Can’t beat open raiding CT temple for rubicite. That was the funnest part of Quarm. Maybe it wouldn’t unfold that way here though.

Yep, not really expecting any changes as the chance is very close to 0, or even a 0, but looking for interesting povs, and some fun roasting of how stupid of idea I am suggesting haha.

No 50+ spells, no Kunark/Velious zones and item/spell updates

Probably will be the same raiding ppl of green and/or blue server will be doing vox/naggy, +CT, inny and sky if set to later updates, will be ugly, but at least it would be less spawns for admins to deal with whenever there are disputes

Sol B, Sol A, uguk, lguk, CT, mistmoore, runnyeye would be packed 24/7

Less bard swarms and chanter farming due to less zone, spell, level, gear

Far less min/maxing especially if pre sol ro, more grouping and trading

I'm guessing it may trivialize too quick for everyone then server dies out quickly, or simplicity may keep hardcore people to stay in green/blue and the server may do well, I dunno

We are so spoiled with these online games, which can be updated and modified at any time. Physical cartridges instantiated the fuckin game and that's all you were gonna get.

This was already done on an Image/Devnoob server. Lasted a few months before everyone stopped playing and it got stale. It was pvp too if I remember.
