LF prominent elf scientists to explain it to me

The hymen remains an evolutionary mystery (https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/mar/16/hymen-oppression-female-sexuality-body)

This was going to be a light-hearted piece about the hymen, but it’s hard making jokes about the subjugation of the female body

sigh,

protection against the insertion of foreign objects, and evidence of said act when it occurs when it isn't suppose to. cause you don't want the village paladins skinning dudes alive over mere hearsay and rumors for attention.

i assume is the evolutionary reason, unironically.

So what would be the reason for the female that is protected from insertion to survive and proliferate over the female that is not protected from insertion to survive and proliferate?

I mean since we're being Darwinian and all.

Can't say we can help you any more than we have.

If hymens aren't scientific, then why shouldn't I believe in Biblical dinosaurs?

Checkmate.

What a scatter-brained, ADHD-fueled article about nothing. Following that woman's train of thought is painful. I thoroughly enjoy reading about all sorts of anatomy, but that just left me angry.

"I’ll say one more serious thing, then write the word puppy to cheer us up." That's how she starts her conclusion paragraph. I always suspected that the "as you can see" suggestion by my grade school teacher wasn't a great way to wrap my thoughts; but, as you can see, it can be much, much worse.

Fuck you and fuck the fact you probably made money writing this PoS.

who's kent

Kent Hovind (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_Hovind), I think is the charge being levied by the wanker.

I'll reiterate: the logic is simple - either there's a valid scientific explanation or evolutionary advantage for the biological feature to exist, or else Someone put it there and every knee must bend and every head must bow.

There's no other option.

I’m afraid I’m not so clever. I was just bad at geography. Maidenhead is a funny name and is a town which I had thought was in an entertainingly named county, ‘Kent’. Instead, Maidenhead is ‘close’ to Kent in Berkshire. Nice for a visit.

Maidenhead is a market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in the county of Berkshire, England. It lies on the southwestern bank of the River Thames, which at this point forms the border with Buckinghamshire.

Oh, the town Maidenhead also has a pond/aquarium shop chain named after it, which is a little fishy.
