So.. this items can only be worn by a shaman, has 5 charges of lvl 34 shaman pet summon, but cannot be used until you are lvl 35. wtf?
You got items like those brazier of summoning that let newbs get a free mage pet ffs. This seems like a slap in the face to shamans.
An instant cast pet may become useful in shit and fan situations?

Its a mana battery item. You summon the pet then use your reclaim clicky and bam, instant mana
So it does not need to be a sky item to use mana batteries?

No I mean the item is just a mana battery. Instant clicky mana on top for the user.

And if the shit is hitting the fan, do you really think a lvl 34 shaman pet is gonna save u.

1) shit hits the fan
2) instant-summon L34 pet
3) instant-cast reclaim energy via magician focus from inventory
4) gain ~350 mana
5) use 350 mana to restore fan to non-shit status

Yes that you insta summon and use reclaim energy on and you get the mana for it.
Also, the brazier reference is odd since it's like a level 12 pet isnt it?

Yeah its a shit hits the fan item. 1 click + reclaim is more than enough mana for another torpor

This is why modern people hate this game.
For today's generations, tricks are supposed to make the game EZ. Tricks are not supposed to be something you have to, you know, think about.

He could fight a rearguard action like noble Roland at Roncevaux.

a fix for the modern gamer would be to include a loot box opening animation and several quick flashes of anime titties to get those dopamine receptors properly lubed up.

I mean, I guess your definition if "shit hitting the fan" is different than mine.. In my mind, 350 mana isnt going to save it. In fact, using the summoned pet might be more useful.

To get back to my point... it casts a lvl 34 spell that you cant use until lvl 35... but that you can already summon at lvl 34. I just dont see how that is logical.

Yeah, but maybe in someone elses hand they can land a torp, and then get back to cani dancing back up and take control.
Kunark class armor casts spells that are trivial to the caster.
Sham casts lower lvl spells all class related except BP casts bramblecoat. Deops from a dragon.
All spell casting classes cast class appropriate spells.
Except a couple, not listing them all but...
Ranger gets a gate spell on BP. Again drops from a dragon.
Fang amulet is a kunark drop, from a relatively simple mob in karnor. Id say its about right.
Not every item is a fungi staff.

Shaman have a spell called torpor. This 350mana battery provides more than enough mana to cast this spell.
Once cast, the shit is no maybe no longer hitting the fan.
But that's it,that's the use. Torpor mean shaman not dieing as fast, can once again eat their flesh to regenerate mana and play the weird shaman mini game

5 instant charges of 350 mana instantly consumed by instant cast reclaim energy clickies can buy many peanuts.

Yeah but lets not forget, this is like a potion in a final fantasy game and will rot in your inventory. :p

I see, sounds like the item would be worth more than it is then.

Barring certain classes and situations, the game rewards mana regeneration, not deep mana pools. In fact, almost every game does, in a way. Its why Overhealth/Overshielding in any game is so strong, despite those abilities only adding +5%/10%, and for a short period of time.
If it counted for anything AND you could measure it, you could outplay a significantly better-geared player by gearing for HP and (somewhat) ignoring mana pool. From 35+, your mana pool is effectively X + (350) + (350) + (350) + (350) + (350) - multiple times more value than any +WIS/+mana for a 1k consumable.
But only if youre not dumb.

I've never thought about it as a mana battery, but I often times keep my Shaman's pet out for emergency mana moreso than for the extra DPS. Referring to grouping situations obviously. In solo situations, particularly while leveling, Shaman pet is pretty useful for DPS and tanking. Between Shaman haste and slow, she performs a lot better than yall would expect.
