I get it. Maybe I would price more if it were trivial to link items in macros. I know it's possible, but I found it to be too much of a hassle.
As-is I recreate auction messages every time I log on my trader, and that leads me to add fewer prices.

If there's no price on it does that mean its free?

I always got more annoyed by people who wanted to haggle with me when I had the price in auction.
like i'd rather not even sell it by talking to you at all instead of stopping watching w/e the fuck is on my other monitor.

I sell some items where the price is firm, because what I'm asking is always fair and it's a seller's market for the item. Other items I'm more flexible. And I like to barter sometimes, get something of equal value that I don't have 11 copies sitting on mules.

you strokin out finally swish? maybe try rereading my post lol
only time i ever argued with anyone in EC (that i can recall...) about prices was when that one poor bastard got scammed by someone "selling" Blued Two-Handed Hammer back in forth to a bunch of socket puppet alts so the entire price page on the wiki had it listed between 45-50k and Victim #1 ended up buying it for like 30k worth of trade shit then the guy spent like a week trying to find someone else to scam in ec tunnel to recoup as much of his loss as he could by lying about how good the hammer was, the quest was broken now, its a collector's item..etc..etc

id rather overpay than have a conversation that takes more than 3 tells to resolve

Real
Money.
Also your time is worth real money in the real world.
Decide to work for real money.
Spend time with ya kids (or catz).
Mow ya damn lawn and sit the fuck down.
Waste time on EQ money (cuz that's what this is all about).
Or, rant like dimwit when your game makes you cry. Or better yet do what enjchanter said and get on wiff ya day.
well that escalated quickly

first off, we're on different servers i assume and my name is the account name and in my sig.
so unless you want to haggle about paying 75k for a turtle belt on blue https://project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=421122 i doubt we were ever going to interact outside this thread anyway.
