A couple things to note. First off, these forums have a certain ... character to them. The game itself has a markedly different character to it, so don't let the forums intimidate you (some of the worst posters here don't even play anymore, they just hang around and spread negativity).

Second, be sure to check out the wiki (https://wiki.project1999.com/). It's our version of Allakhazam, all of the class sites, EQ Traders, EQ Atlas, etc. It also includes a Magelo feature (a way to profile your character outside the game, or see the profiles of other characters to get gearing ideas), an auction tracker (which gives you a rough idea about how much it will cost to buy something from another player), and tons of helpful guides (https://wiki.project1999.com/Players:Adventure).

I saw a half-naked level 30-something halfing druid in Rivervale last night. I asked if he could use a pair of GEBs, opened a trade window and offered them to him. He responded "Only if you can absolutely part with them" before he would accept. Some quality people on p99.

seems like a real lovely welcome. As someone returning to this game for the first time in 24 years, thats quite discouraging. Was hoping the game would at least be active enough to find some groups, but im only level 10.

reminds me of a time that I had an ogre warrior named Ookie who was like, lvl 45? on the live servers around 2005? and I inspected some dude in the bazaar and in his inspection bio he had a list of "his" characters with lvls and classes and in the list included my Ogre Warrior Ookie. I sent him a tell like "dude wtf Ookie isnt you" and he never responded to me. It was super weird and creepy. Ookie wasnt even that badass of a character to want to take credit for lol.




Also someone stole my forum handle name on PQ and I find that to be weird but that could just be a coincidence. Evia isnt that unique of a name.

Yeah but the server doesn't let multiple people with the same name. I had that name, and the same exact lvl/class/race. So there is no way this dude had the name when I had it.

I remember you. I played Valent and his troll shaman buddy whose name escapes me. I'm not James (the owner of Valent) but I did play it a lot for about a year.
