I feel though that it should not even have to be stated.. Those who aren't busy trying to find excuses to cloud logical reasoning with claims of favoritism and corruption can usually see that we atleast make our best effort to run a very fair server.

After reading Xz's post though, I now feel like a douche about what I said about him. Sorry I jumped to conclusions Xz. The evidence at times really did seem overwhelming (as many from back then will vouch for). I'm not hanging up my Tinfoil Hat just yet, but you seem like a decent enough guy. Thank you for going out of your way to address concerns that were brought up, Xzerion. I know you guys feel as if the accusations and underlying insinuations will always exist no matter what... I guess what I was trying to say is that I don't feel the solution is to (un)intentionally make the situation worse by TR trolling themselves and poking fun at themselves over the perceptions discussed here when its clearly a sensitive subject for everyone that has invested their time in the raid scene.

Or maybe the GM's should stop answering every stupid complaint. Do people put in bitchy petitions when a guild calls themselves "The Premiere Raid Guild on P99"? Probably not because they know it doesn't matter if they are or aren't. It's not your job to police outside the server Uthgaard. People know you have a penchant to pull the trigger on banning first and ask questions later, I used to hang out in the public mumble channel and I see the way many people on this server think, interact, and try to manipulate gms. They're not actually complaining because they care, they're complaining because they know it pisses you off. You are highly predictable in how you react to situations and your completely unveiled threats are something people feel they can easily induce.

It is my suggestion that you, not everyone else, think about changing some things up.

With that said, I understand that you spend a lot of time here doing a largely thankless job and I do appreciate it - I would have stopped a long time ago if I was you - but that also doesn't mean people should simply shut up or cower anytime you make a threat to ban us. This is a game, it's meant as an escape from our regular every day lives and the last thing people want to worry about is if they'll lose the time they've put into developing a character and reputation simply because a person with power is annoyed by a joke they made on a completely unrelated webpage, or in game for that matter. If you're going to rage on Perun for that update I suggest you also begin policing the FoH forums and banning people who talk mountains of shit about you and the rest of the staff, post pictures showing they use TPPs, and do things like find Rogean's facebook page and post personal information from it.

RnF is for people to vent and talk shit in and our own guild webpages are for us to do what we will. If you spent less time tapping into raid guild chats and more time doing things you enjoy perhaps people won't view you as a kid on a power trip.

Again, I have nothing personal against you. You've always acted normal in my personal interactions with you, however few they may be, but you're acting like this update is affecting the integrity of this server which it is not. People just realize you think their complaining is indicative of the pseudo-gm favortism worries and use it to get you angry. Stop letting the trolls get to you.

This needs more attention. Cyrano kind of ass-raped all accusers and staff in an articulate fashion.

First off, the whole news post about us being in VP was nothing more than a joke. TMO / TR tension was high last week and we thought it would be funny to dig the knife a little deeper (all in good fun). Did we expect you (Uthgaard) to get mad about it? No. Did we expect some of the people on the server to think we had some sort of insider info on VP? Yes (that's the joke). We're well aware people think TR is littered with GM's and dev's, hence why it was easy to convince people.

There was nothing offensive written about you, the dev staff, or the server. It was just a few screenshots. We never started the favoritism conspiracy rumors nor do we care for them, but they're sure as shit funny. You did however broadcast something as Daltheb once. Again, feeding the rumor of "gm favoritism". I bet a few people online that night actually thought Uthgaard = Daltheb. I know you have your job cut out for you being a dev on this server and I know it's not easy. I respect the work you've done and continue to do, but if public image is something you care about you're doing it all wrong.



Threatening someones account publicly over a post made outside Project1999 or having personal quarrels with a former dev in Rants and Flames isn't exactly going to put you in high regard. Being a GM/Dev on this server makes you a big part of the “server's image”.


I don't know why people are trying to call out Xzerion. What does he have to do with this? He always puts the server first. He doesn't control what I post on the news page. Aside from that, it was a joke get over it. You want people to stop with the GM conspiracy bullshit make it clear that GM's do not favor any one person and/or guild on this server. I know all GM's are neutral and don't pick sides but maybe the rest of the server should wake up and see that there's no GM favoritism.

So I started with this project after meeting Nilbog on a couple of other "classic" emu servers. They all just closed up shop with no warning to anyone. I was also frustrated with all the things that were just flat out wrong on every emu server and thought I could do a better job myself. Nilbog invited me to help him with this server at that point. The single biggest regret I have had the entire time I have been here was making my forum name the same as my play name. When we started this out we had a small and to be honest, a very polite community of people who were here helping and testing who all wanted the same thing. We did not predict more than 80-150 people tops to be playing on this server based on the population of other emu servers. By the time it was obvious this was going to be much bigger it was too late. My guild knew who I was, I liked the people I played with...there would be no hiding who I was. I helped develop this project because I wanted to experience EQ as it was before Sony ruined it, just like everyone else. I did this because I wanted to play it....I didn't do this to be a hero, or to try and get a job from it, I did it because I wanted to play.

As for why I lead a guild....well way back when, Crow quit, then shortly after Otto quit, I happened to be the one left holding the bag. Then when I was ready to quit, Ektar quit and I was still holding the bag. There was a very long period of time that I was not developing or helping at all whatsoever (Plane of Hate-Plane of Sky), yet the gm favoritism still went on. As the leader of IB/TR my guild has always been held to the server rules and expected to take the high road. Suggesting that I dont put the server first is a complete joke and even a bigger knock on the character of anyone who suggest that I dont. Anyone who claims this simply does not take the time to pay attention or attempt to have a halfway decent conversation with me.

IB/TR outs their own people when a rule is broken/exploited. They are reported to the Staff even when a suspicion comes up. The rules is something that is taken quite serious by me. Been a couple times I pushed for more severe punishments than what was handed out as well. When I actually had a GM account on the server I banned members of IB for rule issues. Why would I do this if I didn't care? TR/IB has never had a guild mule account full of duped dragon loot that was used to hand out to people. TR/IB's guild leader never trained another guild in fear with the cazic train. TR/IB's guild leader never used ShowEQ to go track and kill quillmane for himself like another Dev/guildleader did. TR/IB never had any sort of spawn timer/used any info of the sort to go prep for the second something spawned like another guild's leadership did. TR/IB's guild bank has never been RMT'd or skimmed from. TR/IB uses trackers to track each and every mob that we track, not showeq. TR/IB never crashed a zone to get the upperhand on a mob from another guild.

TR/IB is not innocent either. There have been some individuals who made poor choices and they were dealt with by the p99staff as well as internally, but there is no comparison in my opinion to the faults TR/IB has had versus other players/guilds. There is no favoritism, im not on the dev forums, im not in IRC, I have no GM account. When something goes wrong, I am 95% of the time NOT the one who petitions or deals with the staff...for the simple reason of that I DO NOT want the stigma of being favored either.

When I came back to help develop Kunark it was with the stipulation that I no longer lead raids-period. The reason being from Nilbog was that having database access "could" give my guild an advantage over another as far as mechanics went. Some of my guild doesn't even know thats the reason why I am usually completely silent on raids. We have had Devs in our guildchat, had Devs in our TS/Vent...on a raid I dont use guildchat, I dont use TS/vent because that was the committment I made to nilbog. Anyone who has played with me since Plane of Sky can vouch for that. I have not had database access since Kunark launched. If Nilbog would like me to help with Velious I will be helping with Velious. Having me as the guild leader gives us no advantage that any other guild could have. As for the Vox lair incident, I already admitted I fucked up on that one, I explained myself here: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22200&highlight=xzerion+developer&page=34 . Again I am sorry that I was wrong on that, but hell I didnt fuck up melee tables, boss spawn timers, overhaste plane of sky, abuse tumpy tonics. I made one mistake off memory but in the process I did fix alot of other things that were wrong with the vox lair/giants.

I don't post here normally because of the forum title and I will simply just never convince some of you of anything different than what you want to believe. So Uthgaard, how do I feel about my name being dragged through the mud? I honestly stopped caring a long time ago because I frankly cannot do anything about it, people will believe what they want to believe. Nilbog, Rogean, and yourself have access to all the logs to see what I have done. You have database and server access to see exactly what I do and do not have access to. Whenever that is challenged by a player you all have the ability to squash that and set the record straight. Nilbog outlined procedure on how things like this were to be dealt with in the past and it would be nice if it were followed through with.

As for the post in the main topic of the thread...kids shove back and forth...maybe TR went too far with this one. Perun has take care of it. As for the guild perception of DEV/GM involvement/favoritism, when no matter what you do people still acuse you of it, sometimes its just easier to roll with it and troll yourselves. TR made a complete mockery of it with the guild recruitment post and this VP post...if people cant see that...well I dunno. Sorry I got to this late...I do work for a living as well.

In closing, like I said, if I could go back and change the name I would have. I can't do anything about it now. If people want to deny me the right to play on what I helped to create, I'm sorry but I hope you all enjoy the server as much as I do. Im just a normal guy, I wanted to experience classic eq like the rest of you and thats what I'm doing. Cheating/getting favors would be counterproductive to that goal and with my access/powers is impossible. So go ahead and flame on, or I challenge some of you to spark up a conversation with me, you may be surprised.
