They think it might be the mother of a calf who was slain by a boat teaching her other children and the rest of her pod to take revenge.

This is probably the greatest story of all time, bros.

Heard about this. To this day there still hasn’t been a documented case of an Orca killing a person in the wild

I say in the wild because they tend to go batshit and kill trainers or people stupid enough to go in their tanks in captivity all the time. So that’s different

But if they sink your boat and you have to bob there in the water till you drown or die from exposure, does that count as the first orca kill in the wild?

Have you guys seen all of the recent Shark attacks? Specifically Tiger Sharks? It's pretty interesting. There was one attack off the coast of Egypt that was just gruesome to watch and then another blurry one of an 18 year old kid who jumped off a cruise ship in the Bahamas and was munched by a Tiger Shark within like 15 seconds. Some dude fixes the blurred video and you can see the Shark get him on the feet. It feels like aggression from creatures in the Ocean has been increasing exponentially the last few years.

They don't have a documented case because if an Orca ever did attack a human there wouldn't be anything left. It'd be filed as a missing person or lost at sea.

I'm hopeful that these are just the first skirmishes in a larger war. The sea rises against us!

"In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming." ..may be true no more.

Be on the lookout for other signs of the apocalypse, brothers.

https://i.imgur.com/8MpCZqT.png

The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

3 The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.

4 The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. 5 Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say:

“You are just in these judgments, O Holy One,
you who are and who were;
6 for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets,
and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”

7 And I heard the altar respond:

“Yes, Lord God Almighty,
true and just are your judgments.”

8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.

10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony 11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. 13 Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

15 “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

16 Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” 18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. 21 From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds,[a] fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.

We have northern hemisphere attack on boats by orca too now. Are these dolphin psychically linked? Is it something in the water?

I don’t think orca are interested in eating us. We are too skinny. Orca need very oily high fat food sources (like shark livers) to maintain their endothermic metabolism and thick blubbery skin.

Two things can be true: This entire endeavor was retarded and insane, just go pay james cameron to use his sub that wasn't built out of parts from home depot. Going down to the titanic isn't exactly cutting edge stuff, it's not that deep. Also, it's not automatically funny because rich people died unless you're a crazy ghoulish sociopath.

If some joe the plumber asshole had died in this thing it would have still been a totally insane thing to do, and also sad that he died.

Its not the fact that some billionaires died. It was the fact that the same billionaire made it a paid tour, said that the safety rules imposed on him (as a tour operator) were killing him. You get that right?

Joe plumber, taking himself down (in a pipe...) would be sad cause it would be just someone not being clever enough to NOT die. And have the adventure of a lifetime. Like rocket man proving the earth was flat in a homemade rocket...

A seal is nothing. I'm pretty sure there is video of them killing a huge whale. Not sure if a blue whale but something big like that. Legit strats, they bite and hold onto the tail fin to slow it down and maybe prevent deep dive, others come bite the side fins or something. I remember being like 'damn... this is the smartest animal I've ever seen'

Jimjam

They pin a whale just under water by controlling it’s fins and raking turns to go up for air.

Takes a long time to drown a whale - they can hold their breath.

Humans have pretty decent bite strength!

Don’t manatees largely tear and cud seagrass? This doesn’t suggest much in the way of biteyness to me.

People (good people) are asking what's next with the wreckage of the Titan.
Recycling is out of the question, cant crush cans with waste foodstuffs in them.
Also, I found out why they named it Titan.

Its from the health benefit of the subtle skin tightening of deepsea diving.
Also also, they misspelt tighten.

Thats because they have no natural predators. On top that, because they're so protected they've basically wiped out almost all of the sea grass.

Theres talks about culling some of the population after decades of protection for tourism.

In case anyone is curious about the naming, I think they actually named it after the titans of Greek mythology, which were imprisoned by the gods...primarily by Poseidon (the god of the ocean). Seems like a bit of hubris to tempt fate by naming your sub after the things the god of the ocean imprisoned.
