As the plat raid is the first of it's kind to our knowledge on this server, it's a test run to see the interest we get. If all goes well, we hope to run these on a regular basis. The first one will help shed light on a comfortable number of people at the raid to run smooth logistically, and give us an idea for future ones. Perhaps we just bump it up to more numbers, or consider a lottery as you've mentioned for the next one. Hope this helps!

We're looking forward to doing something new and getting to know people. Our HoT raids and super chill. More like fun conversation while we happen to be killing dragons. :)

Anarke will be leading the plat raid. TBD who's running the pick 3 raid. A good chunk of our officers / senior members will be at both raids.

No bonus for clerics (sorry) .. Kingdom will be providing any necessary missing classes to keep a balanced raid.

What is Plat HoT?

Basically you can buy armor drops with platinum! No dkp, no rolls, just bank. Here's the rules:

(1) Open Plat HoT Raid on June 13th from 7-10pm EST

We will begin promptly at 7pm and end at 10pm. Attendance will be taken and you must present the entire time to qualify for the split pot. Please be in ToV a few minutes early for COTHs up.

To participate, you must have your money ready on an EC mule. Any items that drop can be bid on with platinum. We will have a designated toon in EC to collect your money upon winning. At the end of the raid, the entire pot is split between all attendees.

This is a nice idea, this way everyone wins! Interested to hear how it goes.

Might need to institute a rule you can only bid on drops that can be used by the character you have at the raid (or only win one auction). Otherwise some fat cat might show up and bid everything up to 90% EC-tunnel prices so they can sell at 100% later.

To participate, you must post your 3 armor picks to be rolled on in the designated thread "Pick 3 Loot" in our public-hot discord. NO EDITING YOUR POST. If your post is edited, you are disqualified. If you make a mistake or change your mind BEFORE we begin, delete your original post and make a new one. Once we start, picks are locked.

Feel free to bring your toon of choice to the raid. You are also welcome to park toons and get a COTH up for loot should you choose to play another class.

Haha sorry wasn't trying to be too negative, was just surprised to see that. I'd be surprised to see survivability from people in that level range if you're pulling wurms (unless you have a huge amount of spot healers that are all paying attention).

Outside of the realm of melee DPS, when you're talking about spell casting classes, other than Clerics what does someone in the high 40s bring to the table? I guess Enchanters can sieve which is useful, but what else is highly useful in that level range such that it's beneficial to have extra people competing for drops?

Not trying to seem like I am ragging on your raid by the way. It's great to see big guilds doing open events like this. Honestly just curious.

You'd be surprised most people bring lvl 60's to play and loot with lower level characters, which is totally doable. Plus, we from Kingdom try to be a strong group and swap out characters needed to fill gaps and ensure a good even flow. This last two open HoT raids were a lot fun and well quite well. We hope to keep this up as a regular thing. We love seeing our friends in lower lvl guilds or even unguilded score loot they may not otherwise have access to. Sounds fun. It’s not like they aoe a life tap, fear or anything that will cause an issue to anything other than the underlevelled toon.
