You know, p99 could always make a server where PvP only gets turned on during in-game night. You don't like? Well. Use your skills. Solve the puzzle. Sunrise you go back to PvE.


Server wide buff/effect wipe at sunrise/sunset. Your weapons suddenly have no effect. Or suddenly do.

Would make for good server drama. Which is actually a good thing, because people get it straightened out. They solve the problem. They address the issues. The weak link.

Encounter locking is one of the worst/dumbest mechanic ideas for a TLP they've come up with to date for reasons that are plentiful and obvious. Oakwynd is a bust.

I'm enjoying the healthy debate and stuff around FTE and multiboxing and designing away from that vs for it or neglecting it's impact on the game.

I really believe that implented well along with anticheat, moderation and patches FTE will be the largest improvement to the game. Aswell.

I was really looking forward to the new TLP but was disappointed with the rule set on this one.

I feel like the locking mechanism isnt EQ and is really the main reason I wont be trying it out.

I dont like that its not free trade and/or randomized loot, but I can deal. The target locking thing is just dumb imho and the minor 10% bonus for each max lvl alt is not enough incentive. I think it should be at least 25% for the first one and then maybe 10% for every one after that.

Yeah for a legacy casual server they really need to bump up their bonuses. And start with some already.

I don't think FTE is going to fix or ruin the game. It will definitely change it. It's going to effect trains the most.

If they do nothing to stop macroquest or automation. Or box armies and pizza trading. It will be very much like every other TLP regardless of FTE.

I want to see the experiment tho!

Stalling is the loitering of EQ. The options are:



crackheads are gonna loiter
some cop is gonna bust things up, purely arbitrarily, and everyone is pissed

I'm trying to think what would be the best class, not to min/max exp, but min/max your chances to actually witness *live server* people turn their minds to goo in fury and tears.


Fury and Tears. Now recruiting. Our goal is to win every FTE encounter, but then wipe, resort to zerging, and then accidentally trigger a few more aggros before calling it a night.


We will ride during prime time hours and we shall never kill a goddam thing.
