What is the worst CR you've ever had?

I used to raid Plane of Growth back in the day, and we basically just farmed trash for the planar gear. One day someone feared a mob or something, and it ran back to Tunare's tree. Tunare then proceeded to summon all of us and kill us. The raid leader helped with the CR, but didn't get everyone, myself included. I kept dying repeatedly at the zone-in, and I spent 23 hours getting my corpse. I was down to like the last hour I had left before I lost everything when Talisman (the best guild on Tunare at the time) rescued me.

I remember being particularly annoyed by the raid leader downplaying the severity of me losing everything I owned with "we can get more gear, don't worry." Like I was one of the most geared rogues on my server at the time, it wasn't feasible to replace everything, including my epic and what not.

I also had a really bad CR in Timorous Deep. I can't remember how or why, but I got killed in the middle of the ocean after DC'ing, and didn't really even know where I died. There was no map at the time, and I remember just swimming for hours in straight lines mashing /corpse trying to figure out where I died. I finally found my corpse and was so excited that I wasn't going to lose everything I owned, when suddenly Faydedar came out of no where and killed me. I remember him camping my corpse and again, having a close call with losing everything I owned.

Wasn't really an option. Any necro who zoned in basically died instantly. Also I don't feel like real EverQuest was chock full of high level Necromancers looking to help other players. I feel like the game was way more cutthroat because it wasn't 40+ year old men trying to play the game for nostalgia and keep the dream alive, it was a bunch of 13 year old boys who hated each other.

I remember people acting like it would kill them to even teleport my dude back to Wakening Lands or to ask a stranger for a levitate in TD.

I think the way I did get my corpse in PoG though was like, a non kos Druid dragging it for me or something, but I remember an entire raid force being there when it happened or something. It's hard to remember something that happened that long ago, especially when you're an alcoholic.

That time I woke up and had de-leveled from 60 to 57 outside of ToV in a deathloop.

Probably when I was on my blue wizard and I received tells from some guild who had wiped in hate and no longer had access to a lift up.

I helped them organise new break in groups and port everyone back up so they could regear without being slowed down by rez effects so make their camp safe to rez in.

Their ‘kind thank you’ didn’t even cover the cost of my reagents I used to port them up.

JimJam, that was in the olden days when we played on blue...

Thankfully those days are behind us. Such a thing would never happen on Teal.
