When paisley and I play together, we ALWAYS have a ‘first come, first serve’ loot policy, and in this case we were playing with someone completely new to p99 who had no preconceived notions of how looting ‘should be.’ Also, I am pretty sure I called it first (and looted it first) and was even willing to compromise going forward with new rulesets? It makes less sense to change to a rolling system on a dime than go with what we were already doing.

I would also love to see where in the p99 rules rolling is to be considered ‘the default’ in any given situation… and are we just going to ignore how paisley ‘didn’t even want the shield’ but decided to roll on it anyway?

In conclusion, I rest my case. Was I a ninja with quick looting reflexes in this situation? Yes. Was it ‘ninja looting’? Based on the way our group usually functions, definitely not…

So to clarify. Generally common items are not rolled on. Like only stuff that sells in EC is rolled for.

The general rule of thumb is to kinda round robin stuff. So if you're the first to loot a targ shield. Let the others get one aswell. Then when everyone has grab another.

Some stuff like goblin ears people will agree upon a rotation prior to fighting and when they add ppl to the group those go to the bottom.

Some groups are more strict about this. Depends on the group leader.

Some groups will have a master looter who will allocate items (I nominate sweagon) and who may also sell and split coin.

Periodots and gems often go to the clerics because they need them and those clerics are often sitting on their bumb to keep u alive and have a poor weight limit.

Monks don't need gear so they don't get nuffin.
