My initial theory was that they did this because someone in our group was streaming, but after further investigation, it's hard to tell what the motive was. They had a low level Ranger named Glizzee with them, so I assume there's also a chance that they just wanted to clear our group out so they could PL this Ranger; neither individual would respond when messaged and they traveled in unison across several zones after it was revealed to them that we had recorded the incident and had multiple witnesses.

Witnesses say that the mobs ran out of the basement and upstairs, and came back quite a while afterwards. Guessing Lewzilla ran upstairs after aggro'ing the entire basement on purpose, and then aggro'd the entire upstairs and jumped out of Hag Tower thinking it would be less obvious who the person responsible was since we wouldn't see him go by, but he didn't realize I was hot on they trail. Before I even got to the zone line this same bard who was 100% hp alongside there level 14 Ranger friend had already zoned back in, likely to admire their handy work.

Now again, IDK what the actual motive here was. Was it because they wanted to get their little dick hard while jerking off to training someone on stream, or did they decide that they needed the entire zone of UR to PL their friend?

And no, I don't get mad when someone trains me in Unrest. There is a lot of footage tonight from other groups inadvertently training us multiple times when things went south, and me logging onto my Cleric to resurrect them. Getting trained in Unrest comes with the territory. My problem is when a level 54 bard who isn't missing a single HP trains quite literally, the entire house, from basement to hand room to hag tower etc. onto our group and does so in a way that appears to be clearly malicious.

People like this ruin the server, and seeing them specifically target lower level players who are genuinely new to the server triggers me really bad (and yes, we grouped with multiple people tonight who said they hadn't touched the game for 23 years).

I don't care whether you like my forum personality or not, people like this are a cancer that need to be culled from P99.

Yep. This happened while Paisley was streaming (I am the other voice in the clip, ingame name: Fenti (lvl 13 Enchanter)) just a few hours ago. I didn't even believe it was a train at first until I saw the hand, partly because I am very new and so is Paisley and I kind of just assumed she accidentally pulled something, but it was pretty clear after seeing the hand mob that someone intentionally brought a bunch of high level enemies from upstairs and possibly downstairs on us... :/

I think a light touch is good when it comes to trains. They happen. Sometimes the offending party just needs to be forcibly logged off with a polite msg about it. And maybe a 48 hr naptime. No permanent marks. Especially if they aren't consistently offending.

Not everyone playing the game is recording it. In fact, I would say most arenÂ’t. The person who was recording was a complete noob, itÂ’s why they died instead of simply running to the zone line. ItÂ’s why they also had no clue what a train was or what happened.

Being a high level player who actually has situational awareness and who didnÂ’t die instantly and actually saw what happened I have absolutely zero doubt that this train was done intentionally.

Explain to me a situation where a high level bard (who is basically immune to dying in UR) has to pull every single mob from the basement, and then proceed to run upstairs and pull every single mob upstairs and jump out of the tower without ever announcing a train?

Our group was quite literally the only group in the zone when this happened, which is why we were running a skeleton crew (we invite anyone who wants to join, and weÂ’re cognizant not to pull mobs from other peopleÂ’s camps). This notion that it was multiple groups or players accidentally training us from different angles is very lol. Had that been the case when I logged on to my cleric I would have resurrected them, but this never happened.

Also the idea that the game glitches and somehow you get mushrooms and tentacle terrors from deep in the basement along with the hand from upstairs, all of Hag tower is lol. IÂ’d say the average player on P99 has hundreds of hours in UR at this point, and no one has seen a glitch like this (which is why the more experienced players in the group are pointing out that mobs came out of the basement and ran upstairs).

I guess the moral of the story is that posting some video evidence is worse than posting none, because again this was from the perspective of a noob who had no clue what was going on and died instantly. If you saw the POV from my character (the entire zone of mobs in CY) you would be like damn thatÂ’s a lot of mobs.

Also Lewzilla zoning back in 100%hp and no one being in Dagnors Cauldron. And yes Lewzilla was in the zone before any of this happened. I noticed because we had a Necromancer named Lewsifer in our group who had to log off and suddenly Lewzilla showed up and I wondered if they were the same person because IÂ’m inquisitive by nature.

After that happened though I doubt it was the same person because they were chill and their necro wasnÂ’t a twink really.

It would also be right before 8pm most of the time, it’s like the person was counting on Dhamp popping at that time and just wanted to get us out of the way.

We figured this out after the rushing back to our camp following gating out to find a high level anonymous Druid in wolf form killing Dhamp. Happened several times. Like clockwork. I didn’t know PNP was even a thing back then or that the GMs would have helped, or I would have called the cops for sure. I figured it was old school eq where anything goes.

I actually think about that all the time. When I was a kid people would intentionally train you all of the time. Sometimes because they felt you wronged them, but many times it was because they would rather your group die so they could make it out alive, or because they were kids and thought it would be hilarious. I did this type of stuff myself sometimes.

I kind of forgot about it really until I started playing on TLP and realized KS'ing and training wasn't just legal, it was still a fairly common practice, but in my experience that actually led people to be more diplomatic and friendly. Actually still have a sticky note of people who I had blacklisted, and saw people try to work out agreements in ways that reminded me of the true EverQuest politics from 1999.

Now everything is about running to the police, or trying to frame someone. Still remember this time a dude wouldn't stop stealing mobs from our camp, and then he somehow petitioned the GMs on P99 and then started pretending to be a good guy after they responded because he knew they were watching, and they came at me like I was some toxic dude for pulling mobs from the other group's camp because they literally pulled every mob from ours, and cursed at us in OOC and called us losers the entire time (with their dark elf masks, rubi breastplates, and manastones on low level twinks).

I got the last laugh on that one regardless because multiple times people would be like hey we got this rogue, and I would be like so what's his name? Oh? I'm not grouping with him. Perks of being a healer versus a clown class that gets out dps'd by an enchanter's pet.
