Farming Platinum VS Raiding

Which is better? I think for classes like Rogue or Cleric that your best bet is to raid since farming Platinum isn't super efficient, but for any class that can solo, I think you'll get better results from farming platinum and just buying whatever it is you want.

You can also set your own schedule, and farm at your own pace, and thus won't have to worry about having some incel guild leader trying to censor and control your every move.

Raiding was a lot more fun 20+ years ago though, some of the most epic moments I've ever experienced in any MMO, where there was a strong possibility that your raid party of 100+ people would wipe while zoning into PoH or PoF and the entire time you were up there, you would be on the edge of your seat while the Monk pulled, not knowing if a bad pull was incoming and you would wipe and may never see your corpse again etc.

Now it feels like you just show up, and start falling asleep on your keyboard because the content has been trivialized. Just didn't feel nearly as neat or exciting. Would be cool if in a future P99 if they tweaked raid zones to be harder and more epic (they did this with classic WoW since the content didn't stand the test of time).

it really depends on what you want to get out of the game tbh

if u just enjoy mindfully popping mobs and don't need the uberest gear PLATLORD it up all the way

if u are hardcore and enjoy physical pain and trauma, do raids u will be a G-D like elf tho in game

Depends on your class and how often you play. Not all solo classes are equal. If you are a Monk and you don't play too much, just stick to buying gear. This is because Monk equipment in raiding is generally pretty expensive DKP-wise. You would need to raid to sell gear specifically at that point, and the limits of that are on a per-guild basis.

If you are a Shadowknight/Paladin/Ranger, raiding is probably going to be the better route as someone who doesn't play too much. That gear typically goes cheap DKP-wise, and it is better than what you can buy in EC. Even for something you can buy, like Narandi Crown, it will probably take you less time to get the DKP than the plat.
