I gotta give credit to the Luclin Models though. Atleast, they actually made the Iksar slightly less ugly. They still have the scaley skin, but they made them beefy looking and their feet were actually proportional to the rest of their bodies. Not sure about the Luclin animations, I assume they were better. They kinda look like Professional bodybuilders they have a severe skin disease, so still not pretty, but not as ugly as the Kunark iksar.

Somebody please link the video where some DMO fairly killed some newbs in the Qeynos arena whom were clumsy enough to run right into it with many unknown players in the zone. Some of these said clumsy or new players flipped out and resorted to very ragey and immature insults. The DMO players looked more the good guys in the amusing footage I remember viewing. :cool:

every girl I've seen play loves gnomes 1st, and ugly races 2nd. I think they consider the races like troll to be 'ugly-cute', aka they have good taste and don't dismiss 'ugly' things outright if they also have some redeemable qualities

also a girl I introduced to the game was drawn to IKSARS above all the other races at a glance, and didn't even use facepaint on her first toon, just saying there are all sorts of people out there. :)

Iksar has their own continent to themselves. They start off with a big ass confusing awesome new textures city, in the middle of a fucking jungle surrounded by who knows wtf else. Legendary huge field of bone, random low level dungeons KURNS tower with solists icy wand and that club to loot right out your front door.

I mean, in 2000 when kunark dropped it was insane. Literally an entire new game to explore and the OP iksar monk and necromancer to do it with.

Getting to go level 1 - 60 all on kunark is a unique experience in everquest and its an iksar only experience.

Also in this era EVERYONE leveled in Kunark, so the location and the fact that they had a major city there was a plus, not a handicap

I remember the normal leveling path would be like windmill area of LOIO > Sarnak fort > giant fort in FM > OT > Dreadlands > karnor castle > Sebilis
