Can we get a P99 Classic Classic?

All these terrible changes, most without any real evidence aside from some 11 year old in 2001 saying it on Allakhazam, have destroyed this server. Any other changes are based off of Haynar doing it over on TAKP where people have logs of a different client that was completely re-coded and re-written for mac.

Bring back the 2012 Era of P99 where it was actually like classic EQ and not an entirely different game with an EverQuest skin.

Add a 6 sided die to the cleric rez spell, where 1 = gm rez. 2-6 scales.



exp loss: 2= 2%, 3= 4%, 4 = 16%, 5 = 2.5 levels, 6 = char deleted.

I’d let tradeskill stuff (pelts, silks and the like) be player tradable but that is about it.

Other loot can be sold to vendors still, but the vendor won’t resell it. Likewise npc’s can’t be used to transfer items with charm either.

I’d love to see an economy based on player made items. Magic items would be earned (I know this is a fool’s hope and everything would just be WTS Loot Rights).

What the founders should do if they actually care about EQ is open source their code so that people can fork it and put up their own servers with faster fixes and the level of "classicness" they want. But they're killing the community by keeping it secret and pumping out muffin vendor fixes once every 18 months.

I completely agree, but I also think the staff has a sense of humor, and sometimes maybe they figure the humiliation someone earns themselves with their own post outweighs any punishment the staff could offer (especially since, as Magnataress proves on a daily basis, anyone can just make a new account after a ban).
