Bards swarming in dreadlands

You are extremely annoying. I normally have no problem with bards swarming in general, it's part of their class, but when you round up mobs from all around the KC walls, and then you suck and die or drop the swarm for whatever reason, all those mobs path back through the KC area randomly and jump anyone who's medding or soloing\duoing there, which is a very common thing people do while waiting for better groups inside KC.

Please get good thanks. Everyone already hates your guts for tagging like a billion mobs and then taking fifty years to kill them. When you suck at playing though and it gets a bunch of people killed it's pretty annoying!

Hey finally something in RnF I know about as a scrub

I did lev 54-56 almost exclusively outside KC, and I know about the bards and their huge clumps of mobs you speak of

While it is annoying to have them constantly grabbing mobs I want (I personally never contest though because I hate the idea of camping any spot), I never once died to their clumps

I think it’s because I would always choose to meditate in what I called my shady corner, if you are facing the ent, go around the right wall and to the corner at the end. Nothing paths over there and bards don’t run by

The trick is to log on your burner monk, get lev/sow, aggro like 10+ mobs, get elevation so they don't see you and flop your pile on them so they get stunned and die. Repeat as necessary.

Also, on live bards were not pulling all of dreadlands in era and swarm kiting. This was like an elite pro tip that might have existed on some servers, but when kunark mattered, there was a thousand groups in OT, DL, FM, LOIO and I never saw a single bard swarming and I did the whole kunark leveling path.

But I know there is some era evidence of this behavior and stuff thats fine I'm just saying, dreadlands around KC wasn't typically pulled by bards. There were like 6 groups fighting all that KC yard trash slow motion exp grinding.

Yeah it would’ve been hard to do that with the technology we had back then. The lag probably would’ve been too risky since one misstep and you can die (same reason enchanter charm killing wasn’t a thing as much)

I dunno. I think its just a way of playing that people kinda kept to themselves. Like AOE groups. Thats a legitimate and excellent way to take advantage of the PBOE spells in the game but that technique is EMU meta. Again, its possible some awesome squad was doing in in 2000 but it wasn't something you'd find on everlore front page.

Have you ever played eq PvP, bards are one of the best PvP griefing classes.

That is under lvl 50 tho. B4 kunark and velious gear make the game gay.

The best they can do is train mobs and gate pot.
