Reimbursements

Gonna be honest with you, I'm pretty sure the timing on reimbursement is 100% dependent on who you know. I had a buddy who waited in the line until he quit, and one time when I had a raid loot go poof and had people (guild leader level) nagging the GMs over it I got the item in like two weeks. Not that I think it's particularly favoritism, I think they just get lost in the abyss unless someone pokes the GMs until they go digging.

I've had reimbursements (hard ones, like "my bag just mysteriously disappeared") take something like six months to go through ... but they eventually do.

I'm currently waiting on one such reimbursement now: it's been a couple months I think, and I'm prepared for at least four more.

I don't think it's about who you know necessarily. It's probably more the level of the item (i.e. super rare raid drop) and what happened. Like if the server glitched like it did a few weeks back they will focus in on solving that for everyone faster, especially if top tier raid loot just vanished.

Whereas if you accidentally sold your JBoots to a vendor or left some items you're trying to sell in a Mage-summoned bag...yeah they will get to that whenever they happen to have the time and inclination.

There are also 11 unanswered raid petitions on the green UN server since the same time that reimbursements stopped happening back in Feb.

Wild west out there, no regulation of rules. Do what you want, kill steal, ninja loot, train raids. No big deal, maybe this is intended? Id say just dont care anymore.

I had my account stripped of everything valuable. In my petition it tells me the most highly prized items are still there and available but i'm almost 5-6 months into waiting. I'm starting to think these reimbursements just never happen yet the petition goes through anyways and is staying up in queue. Whatever.

Do you think GMs in 1999 would reimburse you for your item because a group member mis-looted it?

What do you mean when you say mislooted? If the person who was supposed to loot wasn't on the encounter log,they will not reimburse fyi

Not unusual at all for them to take that long. Think mine awhile back was roughly 5 months.

I have had nothing but good experiences. Reimbursements do take a while at times, but you have to understand the work that goes into tracking everything. Then they need someone above them to do the reimbursement. It takes multiple people and time.

EQ in 1999 would've told you to fuck off and you were paying them monthly to do so.
