That put me off initially, too. I'm super casual so I'm a lower rank only paying 300p/mo (main raider tier is 500). But having paid that, the guild will cover recharging all your raid consumables, which often times will be more than the dues you paid.

I have like a 1% raid attendance, so I actually lose out usually, but it's cheap so I don't really care.

I guess it depends on how you define dues. Safe Space doesn’t have any regular fee or anything like that really, but does charge a (small) fee for things like wort pot recharges, although melee ToV binds are free. During “fundraising” periods, a small pool of items have minimum bids that, if no one beats, sends to item to the guild bank.

But to the point: Kingdom is a great guild full great people. Think of the dues this way: they’re much, much lower than what you’ll make selling your old gear after you get badass upgrades.

When you don't like someone's argument, but you can't really argue against it, so you ignore it and focus on one small detail you can argue with ... you're arguing unfairly. It's a logical fallacy, specifically the fallacy of incomplete evidence, aka the fallacy of "cherry-picking (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_picking)".

Yes, Kingdom will sometimes enter multiple "raids" in the system for one event. For instance, Ring Wars count as "three raids" in that sense, because they last a really long time and we take attendance after each hour (plus we have on-time DKP).

But again, pointing that fact out doesn't refute my argument in anyway. If you're raiding so much that on average you're doing more than a Ring War (ie. 3.8 "raids") every single day: you are not a casual. At least by most people's definitions (again, anyone can call themselves a "casual" if they want).

P.S. And BTW:

I think once you look at the facts, there's no way you can argue that casuals are equal members in Kingdom. You can't be an equal member when the rest of the guild is getting free Sleeper Keys and you aren't ... and I don't see how any amount of arguing (honest or otherwise) can change that fact.

Personally, when I joined Kingdom I was in absolute awe of the internal organization and complexity of the back structure of a "video game guild." The time and effort that the leadership has put into the guild's structure is nothing less than a labor of love. It has layers of complex inner workings that set Kingdom apart and has allowed us to secure the hardest content in the game. We are very close to a Vulak kill, last attempt saw him in the 30% range. Soon we will be crushing it on the regular. Last night Kingdom had the strongest numbers in ToV, 80 members strong where competitors were around 50.

I love that Kingdom has raider ranks for all players. The best part of being a recruit in Kingdom vs other guilds is that you can start bidding on items on day 1!!! We want to help gear you up and get you help with your epic.

Our Grunt rank does not require you to maintain a raid attendance to bid, while those members that put in extra effort to acquire Knight enjoy unlimited bidding there is a whole lot of amazing loot for Grunts, Adventurers, Recruits and Squires!

Did I mention mature and friendly? Kingdom has some seriously giving and knowledgeable people that always step up to lend a hand.

I see people gripe about "dues" and I just have to laugh. Kingdom doesn't believe that it's fair to clerics, necros, magi, and wizards to pay for stones, dots, coffins, pearls out of their own pocket....This is what guild dues pays for. When you raid, these materials are required. We don't have to sell your loot to make this money either...Additionally, the guild then pays to recharge your potions, common lands caps, invis rings and all other manner of clickies! Trust me you get back what you put in.

People that complain about dues do not realize the amazing cost it takes to secure end game content. Kingdom believes that as a community we cover that cost so it does not fall on those players. Don't want to pay dues? You can be an adventurer and still bid 5.

I'm very casual and play a few times a month. I keep up on my modest dues to maintain Grunt (300pp a month is insanely easy). Even so, I'm often getting upgrades that beat anything you can get from tunnel-questing. The people are great and friendly, and ALWAYS encouraging a noobie like me (who does not have the vast knowledge of many of our senior members). There are many raid-oriented tasks that were very intimidating at first but there is a lot of grace and understanding for those looking to ease into the waters of raiding. There will always be individuals who have a gripe over a particular policy (you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time), but the guild certainly has a place for casual raiders and hardcore raiders alike. You have nothing to gain by passing up an opportunity to see if the guild is a good fit for you!

Worth mentioning that the "10% raid attendance" is to OBTAIN unlimited bid (Knight) status. Not to maintain. If you're casual but can find a month to go a little hard, you can hit Knight and you're good for life! :)

My monk is a Grunt currently, and has thus far gotten the LTK mace, HoT legs, Eyepatch from Kael, and his epic as "raid" loot (epic drops don't cost DKP by the way). I'd also be eligible for lesser NToV gear, HoT arms, POSSIBLY the BP, and I've seen Plane of Sky boss loots for monk at grunt-level DKP as well.

So it's not hard to be a "casual" raider and still gear yourself out very well in Kingdom. But it's also not that hard to hit the 10% RA, especially with things like a ring war counting as 3 raids in the system, and get yourself those big, sexy drops.

While i understand the reasoning for the monthly due to better the guild. Ive been in high end guilds in EQ in 1999 up to 2005. World of warcaft. Swtor, etc. I play 5 to 8 hours a day , on the weekends more. Not once in 20 plus year have ive see a monthly due. Most guild set up groups and farms the material etc. With that being said if someone didnt help, they didnt raid etc. Ive grouped with a lot of kingdom players and they are good players. Just dont think its for me.

Yeah lemme pay monthly dues to be a warm body raider for the upper echelon of the guild to be able to succeed in what they want (meanwhile that group of people probably has hundreds of thousands of plat and could easily fund it)

Kingdom welcome all types of players. We help people get their quest done often. There's a channel named #member-batphone where you can post your help request when you need hands. If you look through that , you can find that we helped numerous people get their epics , ring x , group event etc.
And when you do need a raid force for your epic , just send a tell to raid leader , they will help you get a force there to finish the mob for you.

Kingdom welcome poeple to provide their opinion/thoughts too. We got lots of good listeners. they are open-minded and good on understanding your concern/suggestion. Although we have a large number of guildie , it's hard to balance things out usually. But leadership are working on it constantly. Otherwise Kingdom won't gether so many good people here and poeple won't stick here for so long.

Kingdom's a progression guild that will help you on every facet of your EverQuest journey. Epics, Quests and if you're brave or willing to torture yourself in raiding, how to optimize your classes ability to it's max in this simulator.

Playing p99 raid box simulator = clickies to win, clickies need recharged. I'd wager most complaining about a dues system don't raid or are warm bodies that rarely fill in critical roles (Warco) required in this wonderful p99 raid box simulator.

Definitely give Pacatus a hard time, he's earned it!

Lol the 10% raid attendance "requirement" might as well be 0%. It's more like....do you sign on at all and raid at all or attend even half of a Quake each month? And besides I've never seen someone disbanded due to low raid attendance.

Also the dues are dumb, 300 for Grunt is charity if you attend even one of the recharging sessions. Recharge a WC cap and a wart like twice and tell me it's a bad deal.

Honestly, the amount of time and effort Kingdom leadership puts into the guild is phenomenal. From training, raiding, planning, practicing you name it they do it. If you want to see and kill dragons and have fun doing it Kingdom is where you should look.

All active players be it casual or hardcore are helpful and inspiring. You need help member bat phone it people will come and help you kill just about anything you need. If you need guided or have questions just ask.

I at one time was stuck on the OMG there are Dues? But after the first few weeks I realized those were trivial and well worth the price of admission especially for all the officers / raid leaders / admins in the background do for the guild. Once you see it for yourself I'm 100% certain you would see it this way.

Someone mentioned other places guilds had farm groups ect.. I was part of that elsewhere, to fund the entire guild you want to rely on a few groups of players? The only players usually willing to do that are the ones that already have high RA and play too much. So you want them to play even more to pay for your stuff? That model puts added unneeded stress on leadership. They want to enjoy the game also.

One way Kingdom actively helps the server is with our swag bot, Kingdomswag. She is full of dropable dragon and god loot, gems and spells that have all been generously donated by the guild bank and members of the guild. Our recruitment team has donated their time and money to gear her out and level her. This is done as a good will event for those on the server *not* in Kingdom, to help players get a head start. I know last week a new rogue that was just tagged was able to finish his epic within an hour of getting his Kingdom tag. Additionally, there have been many recruits that have applied after getting help on quests and beyond from Kingdom members. So you have asked for proof but are not able to see that it's already there. Thanks for your comment! Look for Kswag soon for some free sexy loots. <3

Not in the quake meta it’s not. I can log in once a week on a quake raid with the guild then log off until the next quake and maintain that RA. I wouldn’t call 4-5 hours a week a large part of my obligations in life.

While yes, Sychotica's example was just an example, the Rogue and Shaman epics are still different difficulties and the Rogue epic is more important to a raid guild's bottom line than a shaman epic. You're right that something like that can't happen with every tag, but I can't think of anybody who joined, got their epic quickly, and then left shortly after. After all, once you have your epic you're gonna have new goals for yourself, and Kingdom is a great place to get them knocked out!

My personal experience: I'd been tracking fear golems (before they had a window) and knew they'd be spawning in the middle of our Hate raid (back when we raided hate, pre-velious of course). We'd cleared fear just before hate, so when I announced to the guild that the golems were up, Pacatus himself quickly got a strike team together, ported us OUT of hate and to fear, we smacked 3 golems, getting 2 tears, and Pac even passed on rolling on the tear for his shaman for another shaman that was present at the raid, then ported us back up to Hate to resume the raid we were on.

This is the level of "give-a-damn" our leadership has for its members. And after being part of something like that, there's no way I could leave this guild.

Howdy there mate! I've been a Kingdom guy for a little over a year, maybe year and a half at this point. As others mentioned already, we are a progression guild so we focus on leveling/gearing/spells/epics and of course raids. These efforts also help the guild, because as our members get stronger, our raid force does too! Therefore, in my mind at least, it would be antithetical to not help our members get stronger. This is the mentality we strive for and it really does show in terms of how items are distributed.

I could mention specific instances of guildies helping guildies out, but how would you know if it's true or not? You could try talking to some people on the server and hear what they think of Kingdom. Or even better yet, come on down and start the process with us, try attending a few raids, talking to people in the guild and getting to know us and see if we're a good fit for you.

Or you could raid with us, get a free tear from fear, and maybe (if you're lucky) even get a free Torpor on a raid too.

Countless hours of killing the same mob over and over to farm plat, or go on a bunch of different and interesting raids with your fellow players: either way works.

Playing in venerate, kingdom and now ST I can say kingdom by far is the most toxic guild on the server right now; not putting this on the members but the leadership and some vocal members. Blue became this because of hate of opposing big guilds, now green is having similar tones because of kingdom hate of ST. They literally teamed up with the most toxic of blue raiders a couple months ago for vulaks.

Last few weeks have seen not only purposeful training but admitting training and talk of purposefully training. "Let your members freely express yourself."

You'll never admit it since your koolaid is so strong (and I was under the sway before). No one is squeaky clean but extreme extrapolation is done to paint every action by ST as evil. Never heard once in ST comms to do something shady or not take responsibility for something gone awry ( I wouldnt lie).

You throwing out your positive propaganda of kingdom, keeping it real on the raid scene. Many good friends in kingdom still but it had to be said . Green is changing and not for the better. Hope there is a return to "normal" of a year ago but it seems unlikely. Communication sucks between the top guilds right now and its not because of 2 stubborn parties, I can say that much.

As someone who has been with Kingdom since teal merge id be happy to shed a little bit of light on these stories you brought up and get rid of the negative connotation youve applied to Pacs character and past events that you really dont seem to understand.

Ykesha camp, Cryosilk Robe....

Our entire guild was happy to see Pac get a Cryosilk Robe (we all knew it was a dream item of his from classic). I dont see any difference between somebody DKP winning a planar BP then later getting an LR BP while they were still dropping...could it be perceived as selfish by some people? Sure, by jealous people who see pixels > people and put themselves first. Maybe youre the guy who accidently typed something out in /say instead of /tell and embarrassed yourself so bad you had to de-guild after Pac got his robe...?

Ykesha camp was something that went on for days where several people in our guild got SSoYs. Pac was the main force behind getting these camps going and as I recall it took him quite a while to get one of his own (several days). Maybe you never got one, sorry.

Pacatus is probably the least selfish person in Kingdom, that guy does so much stuff for people it would blow your mind. I dont think ive ever witnessed an in-game leader spend so much of his personal time to make sure things are working well and taken care of and to make sure each of his guildmates are heard and helped when needed. This guy literally set up a fund raiser to help a guild member who had lost their family home during a hurricane.

We all have a huge amount of respect for Pac for what he does...he certainly doesnt deserve the constant harassments, belittling, and patronizing stream of shit he gets from ST and their leaders.

During the Oggokocalypse of June 2022, I saw every guild on Green helping each other out with resses and ports, just enjoying themselves and being thankful to each other...What were ST leaders doing? Giving the greenlight for their members to grief people in the Cabilis arena while they checked out and went to the beach (lol) and replied with a condescending bs post to the UN community blaming the victims.

There are really awesome, nice, genuine people in ST...its just too bad their leaders are rotten apples who have been clouded by their own misinterpretation of what is means to be a decent human...Projection is a real thing and no-one on Green hates you guys, you do it to yourselves.

I'm honestly proud of most of this list. We booted the ninja looter, of course. Ven's Shroud has nothing to do with you guys, though it's all giggles that you may actually believe it does. Killing Vox has been acknowledged many times as a mistake. Ahhh, so many memories and great moments! Our leadership has guts, savvy diplomacy, and knows how to lead/raid well and it's why we've had so much success.

I’ve been in kingdom since early Teal across many characters, and it’s easily the best guild on any game I’ve ever played. Everyone is friendly and our main goal is to help everyone and grow stronger as a guild. In old guilds on old servers there was always a lingering fear that “my guild may fall apart overnight and I’ll lose all my dkp, etc.”. Or a bad fight between leaders could cause a fracture that cracks the guild. I do not have any such fear with kingdom. It’s such a tightly knit community, you know it will be around for a very long time. We have always been battling as an underdog for much of the server against the behemoth - and shamelessness/toxicity, we simply focus on having a good time with our friends and working hard to make the guild a better place.

We would love to recruit new members - providing training and mentorship along the way. If there’s a tactic or situation you don’t understand, we will help you learn! Our goal is to raise everyone’s level, and that stems from your desire to learn. There’s a lot of great guilds on the server to consider, with a lot of great people, but i honestly believe Kingdom has the brightest potential moving into the future! Give us a shot! It’s amazing the dedication our leaders have, the organization and effort our members put in is remarkable. I have great respect for everyone’s hard work. That hard work pays off. You can visibly see the power shift in the raid scene, as kingdom ranks continue to be bolstered, and our raid cycles continue to improve. No level of trolling or toxicity can stop our momentum!
