Vanquish cried to staff because they couldn't use their cheat codes to win all the pixels, therefore the only proven fair method for any raiding force to have a shot at merbs has lasted less than a month and we've reverted back.

The new meta looks cool. Vindi is pretty much the only raid mob i can make these days, and platehouse/arena are the only events iI am interested in hosting outside of kc/velk xp groups so i look forward to seeing how this shakes things up.

I quite like the frequent meta shake ups-keeps things interesting.

The random roll rule set was put in place temporarily until staff was able to discuss and determine a fair playing ground to all.

This one is kinda funny if ya think about it. Staff is like "Ok we determined that the current method could be easily and undetectably cheated so we're gonna temporarily change it to rolls til we can figure out a better system" then a couple weeks later went "Lol jk we're just gonna go back to the old thing. Hope u didn't delete ur scripts"

Those changes literally change nothing about how the cheats/scripts in question work. AKA the whole reason they changed to rolls in the first place?

They made changes cause it was proven (and becoming common knowledge) that the current method of footracing for FTE's was able to be scripted for an unfair advantage. Then they proceeded to do nothing to really change that or prevent unfair script advantage and reverted to the old system with some changes that are basically irrelevant to the scripting issue.

As I said originally it's now becoming common knowledge and likely being abused a lot more heavily than most people even realize. Scripting in video games has existed since probably pre-Everquest. Nobody is arguing it was invented yesterday. It's just a bit mind boggling that the staff would be fully aware of the issue and how easy it is to cheat and how its next to impossible to detect/prevent and they still think a FTE footrace that starts based off of a line in a /log file or via trivial pixel detection is a good idea. It's a cheaters dream come true honestly. Fractions of seconds often decide who wins these races. Anyone who thinks scripting isn't an issue here is not too bright.

If you allow guilds to KS raid targets. Scripts will become less emphasized. Make it rly hard to mez/memblur raid mobs even with full debuffs. Call it a day. Ban gratuitous training and zone disrupting with 3 week suspys do it often. And hunt and permakill the accounts being powerlvld to evade bans. Gg.
