Some of them are incredible such as tales of self-sacrifice to save others or how someone’s death inadvertently saved other people from death later. Years ago, after the hood ornament my sunday-driver Coupe de Ville was stolen (a common fate of the gold Cadillac crests), I rigged the new one to the horn via a simple circuit attached to the hood ornament's spring-loaded mount. Sure enough, when it goes into the shop for something I usually hear the horn give a couple random blasts. That's my cue to open the shop door and give 'em the I Know What You're Doing glance. It's like clockwork so maybe I ought to record it next time, although more likely I'll just forget.

They are breakdowns of WW2 naval battles focusing on the Pacific war. It details decisionmaking minute-by-minute and takes fog of war into account while showing the perspective from both sides individually.

The Midway battle breakdown in particular was excellent.

There are only a handful of vids, but 100% worth a watch. I'm not even really into military stuff, but this was really interesting.

Skating was big with all the middle/highschool kids where I lived, started between 6-7th grade. Several skate shops for a southern town/city, Blazer and New Generations is were I went. Love the skateshop vibe, similar to dirt bike shops.

It was mostly church's here that would let skaters use their parking lots when they were not holding service. Big flat area and we kept ramps and grinds at each, over to the side.

There are very little homeless wandering the streets, most are simply down-on-their-luck and will not hassle anyone. (its shameful). A backbone of southern culture for this area is the Baptist church, which I come from. Doesn't matter if you want to do that or not, its part of the fabric, a big part. Churches do missions and charities to help these few, because its manageable. The south shames being jobless, doesn't matter what you do, be a plumber, a lawyer or doctor or a guy who cleans shit from gutters... just have a job or financial security. You never have to flex money here.
