View Full Version : POLL When Will Vendor Ranged Agro Bug Be Fixed on green?

Greens Vendor agro range has been broken for over a month since the last merchant patch.
Their agro range has been increased well beyond classic levels, through doors ETC, Some are on different agro tables.
Examples:
75%+ of the time no one farming HHK nobles second floor room (Dealer room) All of the nobles / dealers agro at once. Some of you know this is a room that was constantly being farmed.
Kithicor - Some guards are no longer accessible without getting mobbed by Tanky vendors / Lul
More examples from other players to follow.

they can probably just hear the clashing of steel on steel and the manly, hoarse shouts of battle from a distance
its actualy realistics and role play appropriate, hopefully its never fixed and HHK is unusable forever

Alright, I feel you whether or not its classic gameplay BUT!
If we gonna talk about realistic roleplay merchants maybe merchants should not have 2-3x the hp and give less xp then? (Have a solution in mind but rather just revert to what worked before)
Just saying on average a merchant in HHK for instance will beat a guard down in game and role play wise LOL

highkeep is outdoors and spells don't check z-axis for range. just have druid @ goblins cast harmony on the room, problem solved.

I was on my 15 shaman heading to the 25% weight reduction bag camp (in Kithicor) and out of nowhere 3 vendors are whoopin my ogre

Can't pull guards in Erudin or Felwithe safely any more because 1-7 angry vendors will instantly kill you. This is only serving to clog up the already overtaxed high ZEM high traffic zones.

Been farming felwithe for a hot minute prior, I can tell you that the vendors agro through walls and doors there,@ swish hey you tried farming there since agro range change? Pretty sure they didnt agro through walls run outside of their homes and through doors to kill you before but if you tested it I am welcome to input.
Please make sure you test it though, seen multiple peeps who have not slayn guards since patch and have not taken a look.

It aint classic, for either the felwithe or kelethin guard hunting. Used to whack those on Brell Serilis with a 52 mage of all classes, and single pulling and killing was what nearly all of them were. The Felwithe guards absolutely did not lay on hands or cast spells other than a low level heal, unless I used an earth pet and rooted one at which point a LoH could trigger at a certain health threashold.
I gave P1999 the nod for giving mobs actual spells and abilities they should have even if it's wasn't classic, because it's just good for the game. The merchant aggro is 100% off though.

devs don't care about bugs unless it's a benefit to the players, if it hurts players it doesn't matter

Can also confirm this wasn't the case during live classic. My first character was a Gnome Necromancer and I leveled up a LOT on guards. Misty, RV, HK, Kelethin, Neriak, Ogguk, Grobb, Felwithe, Kaladim, Freeport... never do I remember vendors agroing while pulling guards.
