I don't seem to ever recall Clerics using charm to solo entire zones, literally ever.

Charm was never this broken or overpowered and this person should honestly be banned from the game for using a multitude of bugs/exploits, but I'm sure you'll tell me this is how Clerics and Charm always were, and how you remember level 60 Clerics running around being Enchanters with complete heal and plate armor.

It was possible in classic at the time- player skill and overall game knowledge wasn't at the level that would have allowed for this, sure. But I don't see the point in complaining about what essentially boils down to "OMG people are actually using 20+ years of game knowledge of a timelocked classic server to do new things."

Ya awesome player, most people, even bis with tools wouldn't be able to pull off some of the crazy things Liia has done. Plus it also isn't cheap, recharge are strings is expensive now.

Pre clicky / soulfire nerf I solod some neat things on war just messing around, nothing like liaa though lol.

They can only charm 10 times. Then they have to go recharge their puppet strings. "Charm-solo entire zones" is a huge exaggeration.

My cleric in 2010 had both some virulent plague spell that would spread and slaughter entire zones and I could proc like a 900 point DD and heal with my melee swings.

It took lia about a decade to farm this junk. So. What I'm saying is no one on live would have bothered with these strats by the time they could do them they had better gear. Or could just melee these mobs. That all said it is very fun watching Lia do her thing and I'm proud of her.

Also charm is very broken. Please nerf both charm and channeling. Thank you!

It would classic be if classic was 10 years no expansions except for the one that drops the very expensive and hard to obtain item(unless you've been told how to play for 10 years), puppet strings.

That specific problem is solved with progression servers and resets, but comparing 10 years of raid loot to classic is silly.

I used to love zoning into mistmoore, and typing /target lasna and then spamming level 1 lull on her until i got a crit resist, and then just sitting there as she trained the entire castle on all of the players at dhamp, CE, pits, gy, and pond lmao.

this wasnt on classic though, this was on green on a throw away account. clerics get lull at level 1, and high elves spawn near by.

it was the most entertaining thing in the world to do. sit back and watch every group blame the other for this insane train lmao.

Server is super duper classic TO ME. I was 14 in 1999 when I joined EQ. I probably played this game all wrong back then, but when i joined P999- I knew i needed water/food. Check. I knew if i died i had to corpse run. Check. I knew what paths to take to run from Steamfont to the docks in Butcher. And when i returned, all that was the same..

As for all the servers not classic talk- You're right, I wasn't old enough to know what was happening at the top end. But at the bottom end, this game is fucking CLASSIC bro.

wasnt just lull and harmony, u could Taunt aswell. in vanilla eq, for example most time solb bats where bugged u could not pull em with spells or mele, But Taunt did work

pacify was broken Af, problem was not many knew how to use it, like with alot of the spells back in the day, like paladin using blind and proximity for tankin.
it got nuked on mid pop for good since it made fd pulling mostly useles. then later monk how his own lul .

problem is alot of people mixin resist troubles of pacify on luclin with vanilla , luclin mobs unlike first 3 xpacs had retarded strong resists after devs and gms took notice of aoe farm on fungus groove and AC inner.
