I was a strong advocate for trying to build a relationship with Guild when it formed. There were several people that I had played with and had good experiences with, and they were really kind to me--I got my priceless fist being invited to some sleepers farms with AM members when they were wearing that tag.

Initially the conversations were about teaming up to contest and win targets from Riot. I liked the idea, we were fielding 40-50 serious raiders at the time and there was no way to compete in ToV, its too much of a numbers game.

Then the conversation changed in tone from "Win the competition" to "Destroy Riot" and that didn't really sit well with us. I have a lot of friends in Riot, and a lot of them have been really nice to me as well. We never wanted Riot to have a negative experience, we just wanted to kill some dragons.

Obviously a lot has happened since, but I think that's where the rift started.

Killing uncontested Vulaks is a single-player co-op game. It doesn't equate to being competitive pvp on this server.

From what I can tell there is only one guild that kills contested pvp Vulaks on this server. The other guilds hope for a wipe so they can play their single-player co-op game as it was originally designed.

Resulting in them breaking the rule of not having more than 6 people in a "Raid zone" which included DN I guess because of Zlandi idk it was just really dumb watching that whole situation unfold.

I don't think any of us were having too much fun during that point. The one highlight, that was pretty crazy, (I think this was during the AW ban months anyway) was the time we pulled and killed like 8 NToV in less than 1 hour. When Phatez was raid leading. That was just about the most efficient pulling and killing I had ever seen.

idk tbh you could be right I could of sworn it started with AW and after they split up and formed into Core and Tempest the ban just kept getting extended at some point? Idk I just remember it totally up to like over 6 months of raid ban which is what eventually destroyed AW causing that rift. Something about a deal with AM too, involving removing some bad leadership and rebranding themselves in order to get out of the ban earlier?
Maybe I'm misremembering it but it seems right in my head idk.

Nah, Awakened had a series of bans that killed that guild, and spawned Tempest and Core as two separate entities. The bans followed some of those AW people into Core.
