Playing mtg at the lan broke in high school: I watched a trio of other kids from a different high school try to beat up a 40 year old man over some eve online drama. This dude lived at the lan and talked nonstop about eve. Game might actually be called rift I mix them up cause I’ve played neither. Whatever the space economy game is:

So these four dudes(high school kids, not my school didn’t know em- I mean I knew them by face from the lan but that’s it) come in to the lan and two of them were wearing fedoras and sunglasses, I kid you not. One of them starts yelling at 40 year old man about game drama and is jumping around like pounding his fists together saying shit as cheesy as “why I aughtta!!” and the one dude whose working the lan is already like standing up telling them to chill out. And the kid jumping around throwing a tantrum grabs the back of the old dudes head and like steps into a wwf turnbuckle face smash but wasn’t strong enough to really even budge the old nerd and then they got kicked out.

I’ve heard about stuff like this happening with mudds back in the day: like people getting bricks thrown through their windows and stuff.

I literally do a set of pull-ups and pushups in between every single 6 minute spawn. And I constantly complain to my real-life friends that it annoys me when they force me to play WoW classic with them (https://i.imgur.com/6yv1ffG.png) because there's literally no down time and I never get out of my chair. Even when I play a Cleric, if I have a good group I can kind of be doing pullups 10 feet away and still have plenty of time to respond if something bad happens.

this is nothing new... i was even doing this 20 years ago because down time in this game is huge and even when it isnt... you can take the time to do 10 pull ups or 50 pushups without really missing a beat

No one cut anything out, the person recording has a bug with their OBS that doesn't pick up their audio when they record. It’s kinda semantical to say people fight over <thing, game, place, girl> when they’re really fighting over being disrespected. Nobody likes to be disrespected.

If the medium you’ve been disrespected on is a video game it’s probably in your favor to keep a good arms distance from rl threats- either don’t let it get to you or atleast be humorous when you return the insults.

You never know when someone is going to only record one side of the argument and post it online in an attempt to make a mockery of you.
