Even tho OP got our guild disbanded on Red (original holocaust) because him and Cast purposely tried to exploit Vox using the gate in king room to avoid AOE's, he does have a point.

The UN ruined this server. The best part about EQ is the competition. It's guild rivalry. Because of the UN, no "real" 2nd guild can come up the ranks, unless they totally avoid the status quo. The UN will do their best to stop any guild from doing this, but will beg for hand outs because they don't try hard enough against ST. It's pathetic really.

If anyone wants a chance in hell to see ST, might as well just join Seal Team now. Or you'll be standing around ST entrance like Detoxx did while watching us kill everything.

How did the UN ruin the server? All guilds are allowed to compete under server rules (FTE race from starting lines decreed by staff; 2/3 bag limit decreed by staff). Neither the UN nor any player or organization on this server can stop anyone from racing, FTEing, and killing raid mobs.

We never had any Vox issues. That was Steaks calling out Nihilum.

Cast as far as I know wasn't there for Naggy strat snag after a month of petitioning it and taking the law into our own hands on Paymelinda box.

its not hard to see why if you have an objective mind aka arent cheering for teams

tl;dr: staff fumbled on providing an environment for competition

first, they split the server, leaving a portion of the pop set back and/or disoriented when it snapped back together later on

second they put 0-16 hrs of additional effort into the less than 5 classic targets each week for over a year of original eq. velious level windows in classic. these targets aren't worth that much effort to any except for the beardiest. yet windows get praised, it's some stockholm syndrome from blue server type shit. no sane humans gonna sit in a guild that doesn't bag after they sock there for 12 hours of their saturday hoping, so they will naturally go over to one guild for the ease of it

in classic, everything showed up pretty much on the dot and quite often more than one thing was up concurrently, the classic game isnt about being able to watch a screen the longest but mobilize and execute the fastest. you had to decide what you wanted to lose out on just as much as what you wanted to contest. this likely wont exist in its purest again due to the levels everything is taken to now, but what we have is even further from the light that could be

but here's another thing about this, any small fry outfit could take an hour and get something the big dogs weren't able to get around to without it costing their entire weekend. so instead of there being 1.5 viable raid guilds or whatever, there were 2-3 then a few snagging an acceptable amount for most players

You and Cast led the autismcharge to get Vox stuck in the gate after Nihlium pushed us out of lowerguk. FACTS. Dozekar crew made up 50% of the original holocaust that held down lowerguk for several months until 100+ people raided us out (the entire reason Nihilum even formed)
