Poll: How long would you wait before taking a camp from an AFK player?

The rules allow for a reason amount of time for the player to get active and start killing. How long after the mob has spawned is too long?

It really depends on the camp. If I login to A4 (a camp in PoM with some of the longest fights in the game ... at least for a Shaman), and see a mob up I'll still camp check, and wait a minute ... or maybe I'll just start fighting the mob ... but since it takes me several minutes to kill, that's plenty of time for someone to come tell me they had the camp (in which case I'll give it back to them).

But if I see Hadden up, even if someone is standing right there, I'd only give them like 30 seconds from when I say "hey you there?" to when I engage.

Ultimately I think this is an area of the rules that's ripe for improvement: if the staff would just set some basic guidelines, I truly think it would reduce the amount of petitions noticeably.

It's situational. On Green everything is very hostile and cutthroat.

On Blue.. I've given people their camps back once I see them moving 10-15 minutes after I took over the camp.. even without them asking. On Blue there's no need to be a dick 24/7 because the reality is, most camps are open most of the time, so if someone really wants something it's better to just let them have it and do something else.

Hadden is legally allowed to be AFK camped the last time I checked. I didn't believe it until I did research on it.

I knew a guy who got banned for an OBS recording, and was promptly unbanned when he presented his own OBS recording, no joke.

The person who got him banned showed up, realized the Priest of Najena was camped and stood there anyways recording, and when the Priest spawned they started typing "please dont ks me" over and over again. They then edited the clip to just show this part of the interaction, and sent it to the GMs. The player was instantly banned.

He was so lucky that he also was recording, and showed the part leading up to this, where he was camping this when the person showed up.

Off hand I can't remember the culprit's name, but they were another Black Lotus scumbag.

It made me realize at this point that the game is kind of broken when you have to have OBS playing at all times to protect yourself. Like no player should have to do that, and I wonder how many people have gotten banned because of this. Like the way this person did the whole thing, you could tell they had done it before. Should have been permanently banned for being an obviously toxic piece of shit, but no, nadda.

Just unbanned the innocent person, and the other individual continued being a toxic piece of shit for as long as I can remember.

yeah, so is P99, and I still run it on a $600 burner laptop instead of a $6,000 gaming computer

most poor people can't run, say Overwatch, and OBS at the same time without serious risk to their thermal pads

in my case it would cost me about $150 a month to run P99 on my personal computer due to the fact that it absolutely destroys my hashrate (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4EC76H_fjc). i thought this was common knowledge, but maybe not.

PRO TIP: Don't let anything you want to keep spawn and not be engaged. If you do, then you open yourself up to losing it.

Also if ur going to physically hurt someone's character with a ban over like a +5 MR cloak. U shouldn't be a free person with access to the internet. Thats some next level psychotic behavior that requires public safety specialists to be involved supervising u.

I’d give someone a few mins. But in my final msg I would say something to the extent of “if you come back from AFK you can have camp back.”
