What is by far the best experience you had on the green server so far?

Mines was hanging out with my first guild <Nostalgia>, cool group of people.

I remember I was in Kelethin on my rogue. I just got back from a long hiatus from the

blue server. Everything was coming back to me. When I hear a bard named Keletha

asking people to join. I ended up joining and made some very nice friends.

To name a few: Xplodey, Keimo, Trinita, Omniphobiax, Sheo, Milwen, and many more.

The streamer AlphaBlueOfficial was even in our guild at one point. Unfortunately as

time passed, people stopped playing and started to join other guilds. Most of them are

in

<Fires of Heavan>. I was in it for a long time and made a few friends there (Ezeakiell,

Nevanthi, Lessy, Sulfis, to name a few). I'm starting to feel like I played this game

more for the social aspect rather than actually playing the game.

What's your story?

The whole staff of the wheel quest for my Wizard at level 30 or so.

The quest sent me all over the world and got me in all kinds of trouble and side-adventures. I at one point even ended up in Lady Vox's lair with a 50 cleric (he needed invis) for a res-cue mission. Exactly the kind of mad adventures that makes EQ shine.

Staring at screen waiting for dragon to pop. Not getting groups. Farming X amount of plat for Y item, meh.

Week 1 was great. I was playing a bard (Leelou I think?) and was levelling pretty fast quadding wisps, but I ran out of vacation days to take that month :D This is before the plague of course, when you could play games in the pub and drink all day... er, well, I still do the second bit.

Probably doing the Incandescent/Insidious Glamour quests, especially the bits in Upper Guk. Never hunted there on Live and a bad train in Lower Guk gave me a phobia of frogs. So good to put those demons to rest, and I was low enough level to get XP on some of the quest mobs.

Lowbie groups camping random goblin camps and things like that in various zones (BB goblin camps, SRo Orc camps, etc) that are never camped on blue and no longer camped on green. Felt like real EQ for once

I was at the Safe Hall in Lower Guk. I asked an enchanter who was standing next to me for clarity and they stood up, looked at me and then cast clarity on themselves and ran off. A few moments later I round the corner to see them dying to the Ghoul Arch Magus. I have plenty of time to heal them, but I don’t. I just watch them die. As soon as they die I finish the AM off with a single nuke and loot an SMR. A few moments later the same Enchanter asks me for a Rez. I ignore them.

As an enchanter this feels bad because I don't know how many times I've buffed the wrong target (myself, pet, wrong player). On the other hand, damn this is a good story haha well played.

See, I loved the idea of the Teal server, and I appreciated that the high-strung people stayed on Green, that part was great.

The part that wasn't great was realizing how it would ruin the economy after the merge and how the instance wasn't really about providing breathing room to an overpopulated server, but more about making sure as many legacy and farmable items entered the collective inventory. I'm a little cynical like that.

To be fair I’m sure that wasn’t the staffs intention but yeah that’s what teal was primarily used for by the neckbeards. Being on two mana stone list camps at once, camping the same valuable plat camp at once on both servers, etc.

I was surprised by how many people really wanted Teal...lots of people apparently came back to the game and realized they didn’t actually like Classic because they can’t do whatever the want whenever they want like in modern MMOs

People want classic but with RMT campers permanently occupying all of the easy to get good items, its a pretty bad environment. With PVP enabled you can't poopsock camps indefinitely and its a much better environment.

Back when servers could cross trade, a lot of pharmers and guys would wheel and deal between the two servers. I miss that, myself, but I understand the issue.

Woulda loved teal to have been ‘no legacy items’ server for normies. Solves the issue once merge happened imo.
