That moment when your in game duo partner from the last few weeks hops on Discord with you for the first time....

And you learn he wasn't born until the early 2000s. EverQuest is older than him.

How is this game even interesting to younger folks that weren't around from the get go?

That's why I never ask or try to avoid finding out how old people are.

How is this game even interesting to younger folks that weren't around from the get go?

Lot of today's young adults would've spent time during their teenage years on stuff like Minecraft or Terraria that feature relatively slow gameplay and bad graphics. Hence EQ's slow gameplay and bad graphics wouldn't be such an immediate turn-off. My 9 year old daughter likes EQ reasonably well.
