So I found out someone who stole my name for P99 turned out to be a scammer too.

About 20 years ago I actually had the police come to my house because I got in a fight with a kid on the Tunare server and his parents called the cops on me. Well the cops showed up at my house on April's fools day, which made me think my mom was joking when she told me that the police wanted to talk to me.

So I just googled my character name and EverQuest trying to find the old forum thread that I know still exists because I've re-visited a few times since then, and instead the first thing that pops up is a P99 thread about this person being a scammer.

And I know it wasn't just a coincidence because this person actually posted on the Tunare Facebook page that he took the exact same race/class and name that I had.... IDK man, it just kind of irks me. I guess I'm going to call them out on the actual facebook page to see if they even respond. I'm really curious who they were 20 years ago now.. He literally became the joke of the server after boasting about calling the cops on me (he also called the cops on several female players after they rejected him -- he was a stalker and I am actually really curious to see if he ended up in prison for killing a woman given how insane he was towards women at even a young age).

But uh, nah, someone else from the same server took my name on P99 10 years ago (10 years ago I was deployed and didn't even get to play P99, I remember a Lieutenant in my unit who also had played EQ telling me about the concept and how cool it would be and how bad we wanted to play it, but we were both in the middle of no where, with no internet, so I didn't give it much thought until years later).

Flash forward a few years, I search Tunare on facebook, hoping to re-connect with my childhood friends, find a Tunare group, search my character name to see if anyone had been looking for me, and saw a post about someone playing with my name on P99. Completely different person, and I don't know who they were in the original EQ. No big deal though really, the Wood Elf Rogue named Tajin lives on forever, even if he was played by someone else? My initial thoughts really.

Well, this morning I searched the name Tajin and EverQuest hoping to find the old thread where some kid sent the police to my house on April's fools day (because well, it's April's fools day and I wanted to show my friends on social media (https://i.imgur.com/DggajDp.png) because they know how hilarious my trolling is and I don't think many people believe me when I tell them the police have come to my house half a dozen times over internet shenanigans, dating back to 20 years ago). Now you can try to imply that we're the same person, but we're not at all, and you can verify on the Tunare facebook group that we're completely separate individuals. Nor would I care enough to lie about something so stupid since these alleged scams (which I'm sure are true) happened like 10 years ago. If I did that, I would own it.

They said the fight was over a girl, which I'm sure in this kid's mind, it really was. You know how girls were super rare on the internet back then? Well there was still several around, and he had stalked and harassed all of them. This is how I originally drew this kid's attention. I was in the guild with two separate girls who he had harassed and even tried to sue for rejecting him. He assumed because I always grouped with them that I must be romantically involved with them when in reality, they were too ugly for me to consider dating and I wasn't interested in them at all.

So while he may have initially attacked me and started a feud with me because I was grouped and guilded with the girls he was obsessed with, there was no romantic relationship between me and these women and I remember being offended when the police officer implied that in front of my mom... because these chicks were not attractive enough for me to date.
