2.5 bubs of exp for 12 hours at level 58

Is this bad or good exp? LOL. I have no clue haven't played at these levels in so long and no blue lines makes it hard to "eye it".

That seems a little low, but then I've been mainly XPing in the Hole and I can get about a bub every 2-3 hours if the group is consistently pulling multiples.

Yeah, that's a good question. It also depends on group make up. If you've got the biggest XP pool you'll take the most XP out of the kill, though that doesn't necessarily translate to a bigger % of level (if I understand the XP mechanics correctly). Also, when I say "consistently pulling multiples" I mean the puller heads out when the last mob is at 20% and comes back with another 2-3 by the time it goes down. I've only had groups that could do that 3 or 4 times, but the XP really flew.

class, race, group make-up, camp location and pulling speed....all these factor in considerably.

I did 0% into 54 to 1% into level 55 in a single sitting over 14 hours in hole, but that was as a Halfing Rog with some nice monk/bard chain pulls.

At 59 I averaged about 1%/hour soloing. 58 might have been the same or slightly better

Sounds about right. I hit 58 before the hole came out and it was very slow.

Besides 54 and 59 which are quad levels the 50s are doubles. You generally want to shoot for 1 bubble every 2.5 hours, and at 54/59 a bubble every 5. But hey you can't always get that.

Post 45, I usually only grind a single bubble at most.

You could go harder, but that isn't as fun or chill for me.

That's actually reasonable for a hybrid. Ive always considered 51-60 to be quite a slog but that's mostly mental. Levels 1-50 and levels 51-60 take ROUGHLY same amount of playtime but you're only gaining 10 levels vs 50 levels so it feels much slower.

This is also why casters get spells every level and class titles change every few levels. Theres ALSO the problem of limited zones in which to gain experience after a certain point.

Google "the Kunark problem essay" (written several months after Kunark first released). It really sums it all up quite well. This is why Velious was designed as a level 35+ experience and obviously later MMOs added many more end-game zones/dungeons to remedy this problem as well.

I'd also recommend dragging a group elsewhere, out of The Hole, to break up some of the monotony. Go camp the Crypt in Seb and get yourself some high-value drops while XPing. Goto Charasis and do the same.

Those zones also provide a more significant challenge that will help break up some of the tedium.

This is why I rerolled as a solo-able class. Nobody seems to wanna leave one (MAYBE TWO) zones per level range and I KNOW that I'll never reach cap if I'm forced to grind all of 51-60 exclusively in The Hole.

LoL @ thinking Fires of Heaven or Seal Team will let you have crypt in seb. They keep those camps locked down and guild-only.

The server is basically dead unless you want to participate on the xp-highway and join a zerg guild.

Best xp I could find at 58 on my Shaman was 1 blue bubble an hour killing rat maze rats in Plane of Mischief. That was me soloing, usually with the maze to myself.

I was actually in level 59 when i got that exp rate(so 2.5 bubs was really ore like 5 bub at 58). So I'm assuming it was pretty good since it's a hell level. I've been grinding nonstop for like a week straight and my brain is turned to mush.

BY FAR the best XP I got on Blue was solo @ Efreeti camp on my Warrior. Granted I had a lvl 60 Torpor Shaman PLing me but it was NUTTY fast XP. Shaman would group to Torpor me then drop so I was getting full XP. I gave him all loot drops in exchange for the PL and it made the camp much more laid back (as opposed to soloing it himself)

Yup! Best to take a few days off to avoid total burnout IMO. Nothing like dingin 60 then having no desire to play anymore~

Easy solution here: Boycott them. Stop buying these items.

I'm not sure it's guilds like FoH and seal team so much as there being so little competition as the vast majority of people want nothing to do with the non soulbound key BS.

A 24 hour level is not slow at all. It took my iksar monk ~30-40 hours per level 54-60. Albeit I had a -44% penalty. This was in non-stop pull groups of bear pits, or strong duo's.

Who cares what others want or not if the camp is open ? Can you root-rot mobs ?
if you can, then get to upper bear pit, pull mobs, and profit
