The banker doesn't hold your money, your banked money is available at all banks. Did you open a trade window and GIVe it to the banker?

It doesn't make sense to me why the Bankers are on an XP table when the vast majority of city vendors aren't. How is it not zone disruption when it's forcing everyone in the zone to march to the beat of the drum of whoever decides to make a city their personal farming ground?

It's expected when it's the rest of the game, out killing camps, but it's plain ridiculous to force everyone else to come to a grinding halt, stop what they're doing, and wait around for you. In what dimension is that playing nice? How is that not literal disruption? Makes me wonder if the people getting a pass for it are big names. Hmm...

So you have to wait a couple minutes for the banker to respawn and then do your 30-60 seconds of banking before leaving. Rough life!

I personally have no life outside of EQ so I wait or use firepots to go somewhere else. There are a lot of players that don't have that luxury or they have limited time to play each week or they're straight up new to the game or the server and they're immediately introduced to high level players perma-camping the one banker within a several zone radius. I don't really get it. It's a tenth of a tenth of a percent of exp, but disrupts other players game time. At best, this is a play-nice-policy issue. At worst, it's zone disruption.

Got your point but I would like to point out the attitudes of "interrupting my play time" in an MMO. The whole point is other players messing around (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g7nzIk6wC4) otherwise it would be a regular single player game.

I don't see the problem. On live, 20 years ago, people killed bankers all the time. If someone needed to bank, they simply asked the player, and the player always just waited for the other player to get done banking, then kill kill kill again after business was concluded.

The difference here is that the player killing the banker probably saves all their mana to nuke it down as fast as possible and runs away from the kid trying to bank then /oocs 'get wrekt nub' ;) like they are on some wow pvp arena battle

You have a valid point withing the confines of original EQ but I still think your (our) opinions on modern gaming is bad. Very concerned about well being, perhaps visit a doctor instead of a games server.

I don't usually participate in it but to remove it is very lame and enables terrible modern gamer ideas to slime their way into the workings.

Totally different story if the Bankerkiller refuses to let others bank when they need. Very bad form, and on live, that was never totlorated. I have even seen GM's show up, and tell them they can kill banker, but let people use it when needed.

On live, many people killed bankers, because at first, they actually dropped huge unrealistic amounts of cash, (They were bankers after all), and then soon after, Verant nerfed the cash amount down to it being non lucrative to kill them after the nerf. They still gave awesome exp, but they weren't worth it for loot.

It's games and interactions with people, nothing has changed and the year means nothing other than a forum catch phrase. If it didn't provoke such responses from grown adults (assuming) then it really has no bite. If anything people have grown much more mild while exhibiting other extreme behavior since the rise of mental illness was accepted and attention was called to it.

Not spending Christmas with anyone here besides the wife/daughter since the folks we were planning on visiting called this morning letting us know they're all sick and need to postpone. Wife and I managed to put together a modest holiday dinner for us and the daughter, best we can do given we're caught unprepared and everything's closed. Somehow it seems a fitting close to a consistently lousy year.

The gnolls and bankers might be the only other company we get today if we decide to pop on for a bit. Dunno if I've ever been on EQ during Christmas before but that's 2020 for you.
