so pvp in raid zones + any guild that regularly enters raid zones should be auto flagged for pvp. that seems reasonable

Nothing wrong with trying, oh.. let's say a three month long experiment in the major raid zones, just to see how things work and what people like/dislike. Then go back to normal. Later make a poll if you want to keep it or not. Nothing has to stay permanent.

because on a server that's never going beyond velious, those are the most desirable targets which drop the best loot? I have often seen red players bring up the fact that nothing in ntov has died in a long time.

Staff gave their reasons for rooting the dragons. If they wanted to unroot them on red, go to town imo. It's not the fact that they're rooted that keeps anyone from killing stuff in NToV on red though, i don't think. There's enough people on the server that they could get all that stuff dead if they wanted to. Vyemm maybe a tough nut to crack, though.

Maybe there's your grand compromise? Unroot ToV on red, let the foot race proponents go over there and zone pull to their heart's content.

I think it's reasonable to ask the staff to kindly please unroot reds dragons as PvP allows us to circumvent the same issues that blue has with them needing to be rooted.

Pretty sure Apex was clearing the zone before roots. Roots were patched and they couldn't crawl passed Aaryonar.
