I view green as having taken two steps backward for every step forward when compared to the blue server. Blue server was far from perfect but green is definitely more “Beta.”

In my opinion the biggest failure is the excess of staff involvement in the killing of dragons either thru artificial means or changes to server mechanics.

Only way that doesn't happen is if ST catches a ban. Then it'll just be whatever guild takes their spot. It's a shame the server will never come to an agreement to just never wake sleeper.

Lets not pretend that somehow green suffers more deeply from pixel rot than blue does.

Red has same pixel rot just not as many players anymore.

Pixel rot is a problem for all servers. Once Green timeline is complete there is almost no reason not to merge it with blue except?? Too many people trying to kill the same dragons perhaps.

I’d be interested in seeing how the obvious problems of merging green into blue would be solved.

If someone already has the maximum number of toons on blue, will the client be able to accommodate twice the number of characters it was designed for (assuming all character slots on green, on the same account, are used)?

Since people were allowed to use their blue character names on green, how will that be dealt with in a merge? If you’ve tried creating a new character lately, you’ve seen how difficult it could be to come up with a pronounceable string of letters.

I can see Green becoming “Old Green” at the end of its timeline, and all future “New Green” servers eventually dumping into it. That would be much less of a nightmare for the dev team, and save blue from an oversupply of legacy items.
