If you're anything like me, Crypt of Dalnir was quite an interesting dungeon. Why are there dwarves and elves running around up front? What's up with these Kly sarnak folk? Who the heck was Dalnir and why is this joint such a death trap?!

All of these questions, AND MORE, answered in the latest Lore Session video.

The one zone I've explored the least. Good Video :)

I really like the timeline.

Also in early Kunark The_Kly (https://wiki.project1999.com/The_Kly) drops Necklace_of_Superiority (https://wiki.project1999.com/Necklace_of_Superiority) until Drusella gets jealous.

Get it early.

We used to level up in this zone on Rallos Zek to avoid player killers.

Any teaser on what will be your next video? Some other Kunark dungeon?

I'll give a little more than a teaser! :)

Kurn's Tower close to done, Charasis (Howling Stones) not in a bad spot, hoping to tackle Chardok before the end of the month. The rough plan is to cover a lot of Kunark content, as it's going to be relevant for the next several months, backtrack a little bit to some notable classic zones, then go on a completely unknown journey with Velious.

Thanks for watching!

As someone who has spent large amounts of time in Dalnir farming monk armor, I can confirm that it is an utter shit hole for a level appropriate group. It's full of casters, trap doors, secret passages, and you have to pass a mob that Ice Comets to get out.

I've been saying I'll eventually go into this zone for the last 20 years and still haven't, which is kind of cool. There's still classic content I haven't experienced. I will be honored to die in it!

For a twink with some decent resist gear, the entrance is a really good duo spot. I did that with a ranger/shaman 2-box back in the day and it was probably the fastest exp I've ever had at 25-33 or whatever. You do want like 80+ SvM though or you'll get rooted and snared a lot, and the other resists are nice to have as well. Very safe since you pull literally to the zoneline. Due to bends in the tunnel, it's easy to CC and LoS caster adds with root.

The rest of the dungeon is a shitshow. Only good for camping NoS as long as it drops there, and crescent armor for your monk twink. Back when Kunark launched on blue I went down there with my 51 enchanter, then logged on a level 1 monk with some invis pots and took him down to the bottom as well, then farmed a full set of crescent logging back and forth between the two chars to loot. Also grabbed 2x Fighting Baton while I was at it.

this was my favorite zone to die in as a newbie warrior on live and beg high levels to drag my corpse to the entrance =)
