HOW TO END DUMB PETITIONS

Hey there guides/GMs following my 3 step plan you will eliminate all the crybaby Leslies from sending in numerous raid related petitions
1) 1st dumb petition = 2 week ban on all IPs associated with senders account + same punishment for Guild Leader including guild bots these IPs have used.
2) 2nd offense from same guild = #1 + all raid leaders as well.
3) 3rd offense = 1+2 + all members
4) 3 weeks
5) 4weeks....

Your grace period resets January 1. Every year.

Stern parents have well behaved children

Limit petitions to 2 pages and one 5 minute video. Any more than that is considered a dumb petition and then refer to above.

Suspend AG / F / Riot indefinitely until everyone can put on their big boy pants and decide they can do things on their own.

Set clear rules and set severe punishments for guilds who love to break them. Cheat to win 1 and Concede 2 is worth it for guild who normally get none.

Turn on pvp in raid zones, let the rest decide itself.

Set clear rules and set severe punishments for guilds who love to break them. Cheat to win 1 and Concede 2 is worth it for guild who normally get none.

The best server scam there is atm. Train/wipe you, "accidental FTE and kill anyway" Kill while FTE locked in same zone or multiple zones, Blur raid targets, kite raid targets, the list is endless lately.

We keep loot and may concede 2, good luck in the petitions.

Petitions, just be toxic asfuk until GM just delete all petitions and ban 3 guilds. Rule breakers still win.

It is the results of petitions that are the problem.Dating back all the way to Kunark when a guild lost a mob they would instantly pull up fraps to try to find 1 thing they could petition instead of just working with the guild they were competing against.

They did this because the result of landing a petition was more rewarding to their guild and more detrimental to their competition than working with them to fix problems. When you gain more from petitioning your competition than you do by working with them then petitions become the norm. On top of that when you get a guild suspended for minor mistakes (in most cases) made by new players that causes hurt feelings and anger towards each side to get worse.

You can't say "Figure it out and work together like adults" when the system has rewarded guilds who petition each other for years now way better than ever taking the time to work together.

Best way to reduce petitions is to simply follow the rules and drop mobs when you break them...don't continue to kill a mob you should have dropped then concede x2...kill 1 to concede 2 does not provide enough discouragement when you only get 1 out of 5 anyway...

Good point. If you want more of something, subsidize or reward it. Getting a whole guild locked out of a zone for a week is way more valuable than 1 or 2 drops from killing the target once.
