Are there any other quest lines like the monk headband and sash quests?

Literally the entirety of Qeynos. The GOAT of starting zones, it is nearly perfect. The Bertoxxulous quests are great experience, good rewards, and very simple.

If by "quest lines" you mean sequential series of quests, using one quest reward as a component of the next hand-in, there aren't too many in classic, but there are a few. If you were to avoid using the wiki to search for quests, you would find that often an npc doesn't even mention a quest until you have completed some other quest for them, at which point they give you dialogue hinting at something further with your first quest reward.

Having said that, Kunark launches some more quest lines, particularly for iksars (shaman cudgels, monk shackles, crusader khukris) which progress to various stages of "completion" based on whether the quests were implemented to their final outcome before the end of the p99 timeline.

And then, of course, there are items in classic that weren't used in quests until much later. One case in point might be the Blued Two-Handed Hammer, which doesn't enter into play until Velious but uses the 4 crystal staves that exist from vanilla (fire, ice, water, slime)

Imo, some of the most fun, interesting "quests" in eq are actually the keying progression in the Tower of Frozen Shadow, progression through Howling Stones, or just exploring forgotten corners of far-flung dungeons.

A fun quest is the Qeynos badge quest, but it only arrives with the Warrens patch. But on Blue you can do it.

i love gfay / cb but qeynos has always been a great place to start if you get a port and bind at low level

fangs are just as good as belts and that area is more dreamy

My fave story is the one (https://wiki.project1999.com/The_Mystic_Cloak) where the high elf daughter runs off with the dark elf mages seeking adventure, and ends up getting sold into slavery because darke elfs, and the parents get split up over it and you have to go save her and bring them back together.

Hulkulk's Love is another awesome quest, there are strippers and stuff in that one and a wearable item with like the best name in the game.

Iksar Shaman Cudgel Quests
Iksar Necro Helm Quests

Final item for both are awesome - but you'll never see them on P99

Stein_of_Moggok (https://wiki.project1999.com/Stein_of_Moggok) - Super fun quest for low level teens enchanter to learn factions, illusions, and few different cities. Some races even lower level. Relatively valuable item considering level it can be obtained.

Star of Eyes (https://wiki.project1999.com/Star_of_Eyes) The 'See all of Norrath' quest. Great GCD item for any caster - arguably the best. Recommended to do mid 40s due to some tougher locations, but can be used at level 1.

Good way to forever lose your corpse in everfrost for a beginner

Necros have summon corpse. Also plenty of higher levels around Perma entrance. Moot point. Everfrost portion easy to do with double invis and keeping safe distance from Lich.

One correction: You won't see a level 1 with a Star of Eyes because of level restriction for entering Lower Guk.

+1 for the Star of Eyes quest. I had a lot of fun doing that. Good mix of touring around different places and a bit of challenge in certain zones (in particular, the Lower Guk part was pretty intense from being low level at the time + not having self-invis-vs-undead + not knowing the route too well).

My only experience with this is doing the part on blue as lvl 20 something with a lvl 55 necro helping and he died to the lich.
I just want to make sure people know what they're getting into. Having to know the pathing of Miragul and how he can get aggro'd through walls is not something you just do starting out.

I don't get why the Star of Eyes is desirables as an instant click.

I don't believe you.

Seriously. Maybe it's because I have the staff of temp flux on wiz and the insta click earring on the shaman. I just remember it being annoying that I had to have something targetted to get the insta click from the eye.

Well the earring is the other item that gets argued as the best GCD item so I get the context where you are coming from now. One neg on Earring is it needs to be worn in ear slot rather than cast from inventory.

Also staff is great for Wizard, but isn't considered one of the best GCD items even though it gets the job done because of its agro effect.

This leaves the Star as best GCD for most classes. Typically casters have a target already inbetween casts making Star very easy to use.

I know folks who prefer Star over Earring and I know folks who prefer the reverse.

Reclaim Pet Item (https://wiki.project1999.com/Category:Magician_Focus_Items) This is a great quest to do for any class that can cast a pet. Some new folks aren't aware that it can be cast from inventory even if the caster is not a Mage.

Necros, Shaman, Enchanters, Shadow Knights, and Mages all benefit from this clickie for easier Pet Cycling to get a max pet. Fun quest. Go kill some gators.
