/pet attack /pet taunt /pet follow

Not classic, make your own hotkeys.

/hotkey nameofhotkey action

example:

/ho pattack /pet attack

The pet window is disabled on green. Fear not, you can make your own hotbuttons! Either copy a social window button to your hotbar and rename / redo the command in it, or type "/hot <button name> <command>" or just /hot <buttonname> and then you have a new hotbutton you can edit.

dont forget /pet health
its easier to keep checking its health through a macro so u can see the health of what your fighting

Good tip - I include /pet health on the 2nd line of each of my pet commands so it keeps me up to date on its status.

And it wouldn't hurt to throw in /pet back in your attack macro and your assist macro, too! That will help reset your pet's target, ensure it stays on the intended target, and just overall keep that bad boy under control. :)

It seems that OP's question has already been answered, however, I want to point out that using "/help" in-game can list out a massive number of useful backslash commands that many people don't know about. When you have a spare 5-10 mins take a look through them, you might find something useful that you didn't previously know about!

Useful pet macro trick:

1. First, make sure you have a key assigned to the "TogglePrevTarget" command. I have mine assigned to Numpad-Plus

2. Create a macro

Name: P Target
/pet target
/assist

3. The first line selects your pet, i.e. just like F1 F1. The second line assists your pet, leaving your target mob in the target window. At this point, you can use your "TogglePrevTarget" key to flip back and forth between pet and target and monitor both health. Little-known fact = that "TogglePrevTarget" command actually works even while you are casting a spell, so you can use it to check pet health/target health while you have some long spell being cast.

Also, unrelated to pet macros, but useful for enchanters specifically

/assist off

Changes your /assist to not start your auto attack, useful for mezzing and such! Don't have to incorporate it into your macros just a command to type to make your future assists not auto attack.

Or just hit F1 twice

Thats what I did, but now that I learned /pet report health

I treat people that do this like savage islanders I just discovered.
