"Haynar: NPC's will be less susceptible to interrupt by combat/spell push (Credit work by Torven)."
Was this a joke or is this, like, one of those connotation vs denotation things? does "less susceptible" have a different connotation than its clear denotation?

Previously they were completely susceptible. Any reduction, including this absolute and total reduction, would be less.
Holy shit. My mom came into my room to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to my mom but I'm literally in shock from the results tonight. I feel like I'm going to explode. Why the fucking fuck is he losing? This can't be happening. I'm having a fucking breakdown. I don't want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want Bernie to be president and fix this broken country. I cannot fucking deal with this right now. It wasn't supposed to be like this, I thought he was polling well in New York???? This is so fucked.

The complete and utter removal of NPC push has us all on edge. It's ok. He will recover.

It is. Much less. I just thought that the denotation and connotation of "less susceptible" meant...ya know...less susceptible; but still susceptible.

No stuff still gets pushed and moved by melee, he means in terms of its usefulness in interrupting spells like gate and CH. You have to mana sieve them forever now basically instead of braindead melee push them to stop them from casting.

Now you know better than that, it was the braindead melee (and pet drivers) who somehow failed to push-interrupt that CH. Truly it is sad when you are having trouble distinguishing your raiders from an equal number of flatworms.

Are you referencing a specific event here? I'm not sure what your post means exactly, I suppose chaining mana sieve is roughly as braindead as asking melee to all push from one side.
I was just explaining the thread's premise to Jauna because apparently I'm bored enough to go so far as to engage in a conversation with Jauna...

The irony, in this case, is that it would have been just fine if they left it alone. Or if they updated PC interrupt in melee to be the same as NPC interrupt. In which case, we'd never get interrupted.

Anecdotally, I lead a bunch of open vox raids back in 2001. Interupting CH rarely ever happened. We're we ever trying to use that as a strategy? Eh, not my open raids. We just recruited for hours until we had enough to maybe kill her. But, I am pretty sure no server had 10 people putting Vox in farm-mode.
Un-Classic fix to make the server more classic. Deal.

I'm sure an adjustment WAS needed. But they just moved the slider from like 90% to 0% and never adjusted it back.

I'm sorry, but they took out spell sets, dot damage messages, and many other things that were nice and not game breaking, really, at all. Under the banner of "all praise pure in era classicness". And then they make this un classic change. And people are saying "it was done to make it seem more classic, deal with it". Come on, classic is classic, not classic is not classic. You can only be one or the other.

90% of vox raids failed, yes because it was impossible to interrupt a dragon, you could push her across the room, and she ran up the wall at 25% and regenned at a sick rate
Also on dial up lag was so bad most people couldnt even do dmg because so many in a small space
so 2 hours of buffing and getting ready for 30 seconds of dragon glory

I also did open Vox raids and there was always an attempt to push. It didn’t always work but I don’t recall people being very disciplined at it either. As it stands now it’s not really possible.

Recently had several mobs in WToV raids get interrupted via push. So it is possible, just very unlikely I guess.

Wasn't push, it was cumulative bashes if anything.

Yea, there's a very small chance for mobs to be interrupted by any melee hit in combat, as well as bash and lvl55+ warrior kick. However, it's not reliable in any way. Push used to be very reliable. Maybe a LITTLE too easy to interrupt mobs by pushing them 5 or 10 yds.
Instead of making the required distance to push greater, it appears like they just removed the ability for push to interrupt NPC spells altogether. Yet, if a player gets hit, especially a non-caster, there's a near 100% chance to have your spell interrupted (including clickies with a cast-time).

This is unfortunately classic. There's a lot of info in the thread where they submitted for this change.

It's implemented properly on TAKP - the place where they poached the code. Not sure why it's so borked on p99. The backstun mechanic also works much more fluidly there and you don't get stun locked when you're pulling mobs.

Warder loot will still push interrupt dragons.
