I mean it's not BiS, but it's a nice item.

Unfortunately due to the fact that the Brain of the Ishva Mal is only obtainable by Necromancers level 39+ and the quest is not MQable, I will have to wait.

Much wow, very classic

Also much wow very classic: You have been able to obtain other parts needed for months

If the spell doesn't drop you can still loot the brain

Have you tried being a necro?

Benefits include:

-being able to loot Ishva Mal

-not needing to quest Dread Forged Shield

When Sol Ro went live, all of the players who stock-piled quest items for their armor quickly learned that the items were removed from their inventory the day it launched.

I imagine quest items for Paineel will be similar.

Also not everyone leveled their Cleric 10 months ago, fortunately, otherwise leveling alts would be pure hell for those of us who don't believe in AFK PL'ing our alts through the smoke-screen of a VPN.

And it doesn't really matter if the shield is best-in-slot or not -- because most players are not using Best-in-Slot anything, and quite frankly, a lot of people want the shield specifically for the look. If they wanted stats, then they would have played Dwarves. It's nice that a Race/Class combo that's extremely rare finally gets rewarded for playing something outside of the meta. It's a pretty valid complaint, but as usual, the whine-baby regulars of RnF immediately denigrated the topic to making passive-aggressive fallacies that somehow suggest that the OP has seriously hurt him and that he should feel like a whiner for even bringing up a valid point, when in reality the only people whining are the losers bitching in this thread, and every other thread on this sub-forum 24/7.

Not so. Certain items were not removed from inventory. The cleric icons/ingots were, but mage focus items were iirc not.

My point about one of the items being obtainable months and months ago is that the particular item in question requires a turn-in. Very wow, much classic.

Are you okay? Did you come off your meds a bit early this week?

Neither is the damn Inny snare neck.

The difference is that the symbol quests aren't in yet, but the Dread Forged Shield quest lands with Paineel - and due to the way the Ishva Mal camp is set up now, which lasts until Kunark, it's more difficult than Live at the time to get the brain.

So not the same thing, Nuggie.
