Currently Diamond in Overwatch and League of Legends, and have played WoW for about 16 years. I wouldn't describe myself as a casual gamer by any means.

Every single time I try to play this game another player has to ruin it for me.

I've got Zulukid (Zulukingg) intentionally charming mobs I've rooted and malo'd, and just summoned a pet for, saying how is he supposed to know I was trying to kill it? Like maybe because you tried to tag it and realized it was rooted by me, so then you charmed it and waited 1 minute for the root to wear off before using bard speed to run across the zone with it while I'm asking you what you're doing? Like that's supposed to be an accident?

I have Omniphobiax calling me names and attacking me for killing a single halfling guard because apparently he thinks if he's camping the 5 guards at the gate in Misty Thicket that means he also gets exclusive rights to every single guard in the entire zone.

I go to North Karana and start killing bridge guards when I ask in OOC about the NPCs upstairs and whether or not they are worth the experience, only to have Kynari message me to inform me that the bridge is camped by them and that they teleported out to sell. I wait 5 minutes and still never see them, but don't want drama so I gate to across the continent, only to see them in Freeport and realize that they never even bothered going to the camp after chasing me off.

I wait 3 days to get the Treant camp only to have a Magician named Godie show up 40 minutes later and tell me he's a GM and that I have to give him the camp before he proceeds to grief me until I leave.

This is all within a 24 hour time period.

Why do I know all of these names? Because I screenshotted literally all of this.

How many of you specifically realize that you are the main reason the community on this game sucks?

Like I said. A 7 day suspension for 2 weeks to 3 months of Ignoring the PnP isn't much of a consequence, especially when they go back to the possible months of making the game awful once more after the 7 days are up.

Overwatch is an amazing, challenging e-sport. I can't for for Overwatch 2 so I can play the same champions on the same maps + maybe 2 new ones for the low price of another 60$. If CoD can do it, so can we with less effort!

Is your brain really this weak? I got the Treants yesterday after waiting for 3 days, and have since then been attacked literally every single place I go. I literally just made this thread after realizing every single time I've tried to do anything in this game for the last 24 hours it's turned into a huge fight with complete strangers. Not because I did anything wrong, but because I get attacked every single fucking time. If I see something is camped, I either camp there and try again later or I go somewhere else.

I cannot even process trying to tell people that I'm more entitled to the game than they are, or even trying to chase people off of camps when I'm not even at the camp and am not even going to return from it.

Playing overwatch competitively isn't much different than playing against bots on any real FPS. Then again CS:GO is considered a top echelon competitive FPS despite the game being complete garbage, so I sorta see where you are coming from.

I was killing centurions on my bard in misty while waiting for my corpse to be sorted. I accidentally hit a bat with my aoe as i finished the last orc. I have no interest in wasting effort on killing a large bat so ran through the wall so the guards could jump the bat.

It transpired some enchanter is farming these newbie QOL features (the wall guards) which is a bit of a dick move but whatever. It is plat and maybe xp for them.

The thing is the 2 guards from the tower this player was killing were right next to the two guards at the gateway. My bat hurtled through the opening and the gateway guards chased it a couple of steps before killing it. This slight change in position then meant they were in assist range of the guards the enchanter was fighting.

Oh how he cried. He said i had intentionally trained him, all that kind of stuff.

No, i used the guards for their intended function: to kill unwanted monsters. Sorry if you were foolish enough to think fighting other guards right next to them wasn’t going to lead to trouble.

Like many other mentioned, Try Blue. Green server has alot very toxic former Red PvP players. That along with new server and classic items that does not drop on blue makes server unpleasant.

On blue server players generally treat eachother with more respect.

Stop spending every day of your life playing EQ and day drinking until you pass out.

Currently Diamond in Overwatch and League of Legends, and have played WoW for about 16 years. I wouldn't describe myself as a casual gamer by any means.

Every single time I try to play this game another player has to ruin it for me.

I've got Zulukid (Zulukingg) intentionally charming mobs I've rooted and malo'd, and just summoned a pet for, saying how is he supposed to know I was trying to kill it? Like maybe because you tried to tag it and realized it was rooted by me, so then you charmed it and waited 1 minute for the root to wear off before using bard speed to run across the zone with it while I'm asking you what you're doing? Like that's supposed to be an accident?

I have Omniphobiax calling me names and attacking me for killing a single halfling guard because apparently he thinks if he's camping the 5 guards at the gate in Misty Thicket that means he also gets exclusive rights to every single guard in the entire zone.

I go to North Karana and start killing bridge guards when I ask in OOC about the NPCs upstairs and whether or not they are worth the experience, only to have Kynari message me to inform me that the bridge is camped by them and that they teleported out to sell. I wait 5 minutes and still never see them, but don't want drama so I gate to across the continent, only to see them in Freeport and realize that they never even bothered going to the camp after chasing me off.

I wait 3 days to get the Treant camp only to have a Magician named Godie show up 40 minutes later and tell me he's a GM and that I have to give him the camp before he proceeds to grief me until I leave.

This is all within a 24 hour time period.

Why do I know all of these names? Because I screenshotted literally all of this.

One thing I can tell you they don’t do is tell everyone how they were special forces etc. They also certainly don’t have the temperament you seem to have where they would have a total meltdown over people not agreeing with their meltdown over people in an emulated MMO. I've noticed this mentality on P99, and it's one of the reasons I'm so vocal. Like people are so scared to call toxic players out because they're afraid of being attacked for it. I remember EverQuest 20 years ago where players enforced and regulated server rules and etiquette, and it's a large part of what made EverQuest amazing (your reputation actually mattered a lot compared to modern MMOs). Now we have PNP, toxic players, and zerg guilds that have made a lot of that irrelevant unfortunately.

Additionally a lot of these nerds have this mentality that if you aren't a complete push-over then you're obviously an asshole or jerk. I noticed a few people poking fun at how he listed his OW rank but to me I read it as him trying to say that he has played games with a lot of toxic players. And I heard OW can get pretty bad.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to brag, but I've put in some serious hours into two competitive scenes that are considered really toxic within the gaming community. I notice the common response is "welcome to online gaming" like this is something new to me, and it's really not.

I don't play on Red, but isn't WoW more dangerous than EverQuest? Like if I log on my Rogue on Illidan, I'll probably die at least a dozen times doing world PVP. I don't even think I've died a dozen times since I started playing on Green. Granted the consequences of dying in EQ can be really severe. Like I don't really enjoy duo'ing Efreeti with strangers because I know if we die, I'm going to be stuck doing a hellacious CR with likely no outside help, haha.

I've noticed this mentality on P99, and it's one of the reasons I'm so vocal. Like people are so scared to call toxic players out because they're afraid of being attacked for it. I remember EverQuest 20 years ago where players enforced and regulated server rules and etiquette, and it's a large part of what made EverQuest amazing (your reputation actually mattered a lot compared to modern MMOs). Now we have PNP, toxic players, and zerg guilds that have made a lot of that irrelevant unfortunately.

Additionally a lot of these nerds have this mentality that if you aren't a complete push-over then you're obviously an asshole or jerk. These nerds have no idea that part of being a genuinely nice person is standing up for what you believe in and standing your ground and not being a passive-aggressive little bitch who whines in /tells while pretending to like the people who treat them like garbage 24/7.

There's actually just about 0% chance of this. I've never sold a single item on this game. If something drops, and someone in my group wants it, I tell them to loot it because I'm just going to give it to the first low level player I see if I take it. I've never taken money for a resurrection. I've spent entire 8-12 hour days power leveling complete strangers, teleporting across the globe to resurrect complete strangers, and even now, if there's no one grouping, I literally just log on my Cleric and start rezzing and buffing random players.

Nothing I do in-game is toxic, unless it's responding to toxicity, as I am here. You probably don't even know the name of the character I play, so you'll revert to making claims about a Cleric I literally only log into rez people with, but you won't have any evidence or testimony of him ever having done something toxic, because it simply does not happen.

Things to try OP:

Stop frequenting all of the massive reward-per-hour camps that are listed on multiple wiki guides if you don't want to run into your fellow toxic try hard players.

Stop running your mouth so much both in game and on forums/reddit/facebook/discord and maybe listen to other people once in a while. Also stop using "ngl" after at least 50% of your in-game chat messages.

Stop spending every day of your life playing EQ and day drinking until you pass out.

Stop denying that you have problems and seek mental health treatment IRL.
