Didn't plane of hate come out in November 1999? We aren't even on October 1999 era yet on Green. Or are they combining October and November into one era release?

Plane of Hate opened after the Halloween event with Lanys T`Vyl. So 1st November 1999 basically.

Pretty sure thats outdated but who knows I guess. That thread used to say Fear was Jan 2020 until Rogean edited it. You'd think he would have edited all the dates but maybe they are just doing it as they go. Even more odd that PoHate and Sol Ro are essentially reversed there, Sol ro definitely hit before Hate if they are mimicking live. Could be when Rogean edited it to fix PoFear he fixed all of the dates.

A new zone, The Temple of Solusek Ro, is now available via the optional patch.

November 3, 1999 Plane of Hate opens
Following the Halloween event which took place on Sunday night, the Plane of Hate was officially opened with new unique armor, weapons, and items.


If PoHate launched Nov 1st after a Oct 31 halloween event then maybe its technically October since it might have opened Oct 31st in PST timezone. Does not seem to had been publicly announced until Nov 3rd though.

Still seems like Sol Ro was 3 weeks earlier, but since P99 does their patches in month chunks, it might all fall under Oct 1999 on Green.


I guess on the bright side we either get Hate tomorrow or Sol Ro tomorrow or both.

I mean even the legacy items don't all go away at once on live, but they will here supposedly in the outline, so any order can happen. Thex and Abu I think should go first just before Solusek ro, then manastobe, then the guise was last on december 99

Pretty sure on live Sol ro was released before PoHate, but maybe they'll release both? something for the groupers and the raiders :)

He deleted all of the estimated release dates of every piece of content.
Used to say a date and a zone release or legacy item removed or expansion release. The whole date section was deleted.

Classic EQ March 16? Fear was July 26th 18 weeks 6 days.
Were ahead almost a month of Timeline.

And hate like November 3rd. 3 weeks after Sol Ro.

We haven't even gotten Sol Ro patch. So personally I hope we have Sol Ro on May 1st, then Hate in 3 weeks. Which means end of a lot of List and such.

Your dates are pretty accurate. The only thing I would say is to remember that the P99 Staff said that the First Friday of every month will be the complete month's patch. For example every change for July1999 would have been included in the Feb 7th Fear patch that you referenced.

So May 1st should be all Oct 1999 era changes. No matter if the change was On Oct 1 1999 or Oct 31 1999. All of it comes in, on the first friday of the month. So Focus more on the month the zone/expansion came out, instead of the # of days post-launch.

Legacy item are supposed to go with sol ro patch which is supposed to be hitting before PoHate, and truthfully everyone had ample time to farm everything if they really wanted them.

At the very least there should a sol ro patch and legacy removal tomorow or sometime in may if they want to respect the correct order more or less.

More patch messages were found that clarified the release dates of PoF and PoH, and their releases were adjusted accordingly. This isn't a conspiracy, it's incremental improvement.

Patches are put out at a random time that the staff decides. Don't forget they have real life jobs to attend to. PoFear launched at like 8-9PM on the First Friday in February.

All those people who thought they had at least another 30 days of super-exciting list action and now they can plan to do other things with 84-hour chunks of their time.

That people were number 2 on the list waiting for a day or two and they got screwed that was kind of a dick move. I think they should have just prevented new people from listing. What would have that changed? Anyway, this was a pretty large fakeout on a long-standing published date for a major item of interest in the game so I think the take away here is never believe anything regarding patches or schedules or upcoming anything. Stuff is just going to happen.
