Paladins are great I wish I enjoyed tanking more so I could enjoy actually playing one more. But I hate grouping on paladins, maybe I hate grouping on every class I play I don't know. Please enjoy your paladins.

Please please stop trying to make yourself feel better. No one wants a monk try to be a tank unless there’s no tanks available. Any damage class would rip that bad boy off of you in a blink. I would give you the benefit that a monk is a good duo partner but nothing more than that.

Now a paladin with his 12 mana instant agro spell is a mob magnet, any damage class can go all out without worry.

Lastly while you try to tank and die as a monk, you would be looking for a paladin or cleric to Rez your nub ass.

Umm Do people realize Warriors still only tank who is going to be tanking Raid mobs in Kunark/vel.. Just means peeps have to wait 20 secs to dps, instead of 3..GL tanking on pally vs Avatar of War. Plus pallys fashion quest is ugly, SK wins 1000% fashion quest.
Also SK/Pallys same still hands down. Both kits have great things.. Pallys get res, Sk gets FD(guy who drags dead pally)

The real question is all the utility that a Paladin gets worth more than the single ability of warrior defensive? The answer was, has, and still is NO. Great small content tank, terrible raid tank.

There might be a niche for them to be like a sacrificial tank where they dump stuns into a raid target and then a warrior taunts off them, but I doubt it.

Indeed, but some experience as well. There are some people that boil this game down to tank and spank and think that everyone should play a warrior and a cleric. Aside from that being a counterproductive philosophy for playing a game which has the purpose of being enjoyed, it isn't optimal. These same people usually reach this idea based upon comparing one class to another class in a specific category and not ever thinking how silly it would be to make the inverse comparison.

They also don't think in a multidimensional matter for utilization of utility. You ask these people what does the most damage at raid and they will say a rogue or an enchanter pet when the answer is usually the damage shield. When you need to mobilize and kill something faster than someone else who is going to help you more? That 4th warrior or the class that ported/summoned you to the raid spot? Even in terms of killing things, wizards burned dragons down in Kunark and with banes can still do stellar dps. TLs will help your pulls big time if you know how to use them and cut clear times significantly.

Agro management makes a huge difference in your effectiveness of this game and if you don't get that by now ...ugh, why am I even bothering.

Look a hammer and nails are really great set of tools, you could be a house or a structure to live in with them. However, I think everyone know constructing a house with all the tools available is much more efficient and sensible.

I like the Paladin's better in the pre-expansion period. I'd rather play my Shadow Knight in a level 60 setting--both Kunark and Velious--but with a level cap at 50 I prefer the former. This is in spite of "Green" Shadow Knights having their revised spell set, not their garbage-tier original spell selection (no lifetaps, etc). I never did take my namesake character to 60 on P99-Blue.
