So with clickies like Soulfire nerfed and the zerg that is Riot more empowered than ever, can we have a real talk about instances while we're going on our non classic route? Even if they were on a cooldown of once every 2-3 weeks with FFA spawns to compete for, would both camps not be satisfied? Everyone could actually see content without having 150+ members at any given time of the day every day, quarantine or not, and the people who really want to neckbeard and race for targets like ST golems with 24 hour windows can piss away all their time every 3 days, if that so suits them. Yes this last bit was meant for you Conda ;)

It's all about FTE. It requires guilds to have huge numbers of players so that at any given time they can field a raid force if mobX pops. Not enough 60's so they need even more players to make up for the lack of quality. The truth is Riot is the least ass-tastic top guild Blue has ever seen. They're pretty nice folks.

But, they have to feed that beast as players are pretty much there for one thing, the loot. That requires not just the zerg rush, but a super-aggressive zerg rush.

It's all about the FTE, the very foundation of un-classic raiding on P99. I killed every raid mob on P99 long before Luclin was released on live and never once saw another (really there was only one other capable) guild racing to it. It was quite civil actually.

FTE is why you have to train mobs this way and that way. FTE is why you have to pull raid mobs to the zone. FTE is why you needed 5000pp worth of clickies to get to a mob first. FTE is why 37 Dawn Believer Shaman and their pets sit in the water all the time. FTE is why you stare at a wall until something spawns in front of it.

There has to be a better way.

It's not a switch they can just flip on, it would take a LOT of work for the devs to prepare it.

Also, they have said they don't want Luclin on p99, so we won't see it here unless they suddenly decide that they actually like Luclin after all. (not going to happen)

Nope, rooted dragons is what set Littul off. His guild had just got to the point where they could zone pull them and be competitive, others got to enjoy the gravy train before the change.

- They hate it (thanks God)
- Rogean probably cleansed P99's fork of EQEmu of most / all Luclin-related code and putting it back at this point would probably not be feasible.
