Recharge was a plat sink.

The staff just curved less people to sink their plat, Meaning more plat will be on the server, meaning inflation will be more likely or common.

I cashed out my RWW as soon as I heard a guild was scrambling to buy them up over the market price... at that point, the Ivandyr Hoop-style writing was on the wall.

Never really saw any opportunity to use them... all of the good quaddable targets were always camped by other wanders or classes who could actually quad kite. Don't even get me started on wand snipers.

Now that they're all worthless, which one of you fuckers outplayed me on a dark elf named Senadlenie at the merchant in Oggok the one morning I finally got a chance to use them? :P

Hearing Yendor say that he got out of his RWWs when he heard that a guild was cornering them is so interesting. I am wondering if a video game would be viable that's inspired off of speculation on p99.

Also that man is a legend who used bind sight to snipe wands. I totally agree that RWW were not bad for the server, rather emergent gameplay and behavior on p99 is much more interesting than anything that already exists. Discovering new stuff, seeing it be used and abused and then finally nerfed is like the business cycle of everquest. It is a lot more classic than it seems.

You must not have been max level pre-kunark or were somehow on a poor server. On Mithaniel Marr Ykesha's would go for 16k-24k, FBSS 30k, GEBs 20k, Mith 2 hander 15k - 20k. I wasn't even level 50 for very long before Kunark came out and I still had like 100k in the bank.

I got 50 right before kunark released. I was on Bristlebane, one of the first servers to launch. Doesn't matter what those items went for. Me and the people I played with didn't camp stuff to sell, you camped it to use them. Need before greed.

I did try to get a FBSS to use for my ranger, sat 8 hours waiting on a spot to open at frenzy. Playing a game that long or sitting around to camp items to sell in the tunnel was still not not normal for me.

Was it filbus? someone made a dwarf rogue and gave it one of the few two handed axes a rogue can use. Then equipped him with other items a warrior can use, went /anon, put a bio in his inspect screen about Dwarf Warrior and would make /ooc RP about it.

Went to seafury island when they were dropping gems and would run around and melee them to 'work his skill' with some RP story to justify it. In reality he was pickpocketing the gems the whole time.

But yeah, rep to that guy doing something that has been done on the server for awhile. Its the reason why guilds find out of the way places to do their recharging.. or did anyway.

What did you buy?

Actually very different from P99 because they were camped by groups not solo/duo level 50s. All of the camps were done by people getting exp in the group (the only camps you would see 50s in were Lord (which included Hand and AM), Frenzy, King (which also included some other named I can't remember). My favorite camp in Lguk for exp and loot was DT which is non-existent on P99 because of the solo/duo people camping named mobs. Even if the named weren't camped on P99 and you wanted to recreate the group as soon as someone wanted one of the named mobs you would lose it due to the lame ass rules this server has which gives 1 person as much right to a named spawn as 6 other people.

I ended up buying a manastone for like 60k and saved the rest of the plat for Kunark.
