Ocean of tears merchant

Can we Stop letting people use the merchant that sellls mage spells and other items in ocean of tears their charming it then using it to kill cyclopses ive had hard enough time getting to ocean of tears on that island after dying on boat because im kos to sister island to finally make the trip twice while waiting the almost hour wait each time for boat to get to the island and some arse hat has the mob charmed then they expect a low level like me to travel to seafury island to use the merchant... as if i didnt have something better to do.... Play nice policy VIOLATED.....

Next time post pics of the character who has the mob charmed so we can argue back and forth for several pages debating the merits of charming said mob before ultimately doing a complete 180 and declaring you to be in the wrong in this situation and also... mob not charmed on Red.

Well you're wrong. You don't NEED to buy spells. You can just use the spells you have. I mean they didn't magically stop working all of a sudden right? You can wander around drooling aimlessly and confused like you always were pressing your little buttons and making the sparkles. Nothing is stopping you.

The other guy, he NEEDS to charm that that merchant. This way he could use that merchant for the things he needs to do. His need to charm that merchant is greater than your need to use that merchant because he really needs to charm that merchant. Do you get it?

I tried to write one big run-on sentence, bereft of knowledge logic, or grammar, yet failed.

Facts:
1) The mage spells on the vendor are 16+. You get invis at level 8.
2) Seafury Island is literally a 2 minute swim from the vendor spawn on cyclops island. No mobs in between see invis.

I have all this hidden, inaccessible knowledge because I charm her a lot. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

(side note: If you just ask the charmer [weird how this has become an insult] to use her, the player will probably say yes, memblur her for you, and you will be on your merry way. In the time you wrote this whiny, pedantic, entitled post, you could have solved your own problem. People are usually grateful and humble when asking for this, not petulant. I feel for the GMs man.)

Your use of the word "expect" is astounding... how dare they expect you to spend 2 minutes if you want something from them to which you are not entitled.

To whomever is the in-game enchanter, the dirty "charmer": drop me a PM and you win a pair of rusty spiked shoulder pads to aid you in your endeavors.

Make a bunch of lvl 1 high elves with enchanter like names (Mezzy, Clarrritee, etc).
Put FBRs on them and corpse them around the mob.
Give a bunch of high MR gear, SoW, GMR, and hasted weapon and torch to merchant.
Gate out.
Sell to merchant whenever you want. Refresh corpses if they don't appear on their own.

I believe this qualifies as gameplay disruption. File a petition and they likely will not be charming that NPC Merchant any longer

When browsing allakhazam I once found some convincing evidence that charming vendors was not classic. Sadly I can't remember where I found that comment.

Should be filed under zone disruption.

Not sure why it wouldn’t be. You could kill them. You could charm or kill quest turn in NPCs too. Not sure why you’d be able to do all of that to those NPCs but have some random rule that you can’t charm a vendor.

Yeah i never did ever see a vendor get charmed, it wasn't a popular thing to do for sure, and even quest npcs really didnt get charmed, I think it was frownd on very hard by the CSR

In a bug that made all of Kael uncharmable, it is noted merchants remain uncharmable after the fix this implies a hardcoded immunity to charm for vendors.
