If a bard does manage to gather up 25 mobs for a swarm kite is there a rule that protects their pull or due to the disruption it creates for other players are people allowed to rip mobs off the bards?

Can confirm 12 Oggok guards in one kite = 1/3 a yellow at lvl 35 on a bard.
Can also confirm when you come back from AFK 22 minutes later and start rounding them all up and people have been CCing and getting no reply they are not very happy to see all the guards swiftly running away again as they spawn.

It won't be much different, even when the limited was still 4 asshole bards would swarm up as many mobs as possible just to have them engaged and then take fifty years killing them only hitting 4 at a time. I guess the douchebagging will happen a bit faster now.

A 48 bard can do a little over 100dmg per tic twisting all 3 pbaoes... that’s more than a druids best single target dot and almost as good as envenomed bolt. But we can hit 25 mobs at once mana free. That’s like 2500dmg per tic. You seem jelly. Are you the Jelly Monster?

I thought there was a rule that said if someone had more than 4 mobs in a kite, it was ok for anyone else to rip from that kite.

Will have to take a look and see if I can find where i read that.

Nope, can't, was like that back in velious, maybe not early classic.

There were a lot of changes first few months. I remember seeing pvpers fighting - rallos didn't open until Verent? saw a pressing need for a pvp server. There were one or two with just a bunch of pvp oriented guilds.

What is really sad is that guildwars does not work here :(

I’d rather people just pull mobs off the swarm. Getting them killed might be funny and all, but not nearly as funny as watching their meltdown after they do the tedious kiting for less spawns than they expected and now have to wait 22 minutes.

Always confused me why some people on red99 thinks rooting a someone to purposely get them killed by the NPCs, or flopping a train of NPCs on a someone is considered Player vs Player interaction.

Bards are like a high fiber cleanse. Got to do it every once in awhile to reset the spawns and get those vengful soloists popp'n

I ALWAYS see these Bards kiting and I think to myself, "gee how kind of them to pull for me!"
