There is literally no presumption of hate dropping this Friday by anyone.

And yet people will not stop claiming that Hate this week is certain.

It literally says May in the official post https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333743

The problem is the wiki referenced the timeline oddly and has changed:

http://wiki.project1999.com/Timeline#Patch_Notes

The first table shows Hate releasing in June... however the second table "Development timeline" shows Hate release in May.

If you look at the live patch notes and count the number of months after Fear was released you'd get May is when Hate releases (3 full months of Fear release which is Feb, March, April -> Release in MAY).

http://wiki.project1999.com/Patch_Notes

"July 26th, 1999 Plane of Fear launched" -> Round up to August to make math simple (February in Green Timeline)

"November 3, 1999 Plane of Hate opens" -> November (May in Green Timeline)

So yes the official post, wiki, and actual math for when it came out on live were all disconnected at some point, but none of them say April now.

They put out/unlock things when they want, they aren't obligated to follow a guideline lol

It was last Friday. It was amazing. You didn't see the forum announcement?

I guess the staff got lawyer quested by forum warriors and lost?

Well....one more month of farming manastones for the 10 ppl with screen share and 20 30 accounts I guess.

It didn't stop 100s of "when's Velious?" posts over a year before it actually dropped.

The whole "more content pls" schtick...

The problem with this is that Nilbog's official timeline also has Temple of Sol Ro patch release scheduled for after Plane of Hate opens. That is not the classic timeline. Sol Ro was patched in October 13th 1999 and Hate was launched after a Halloween event on November 3rd 1999.

You can do all the math you want, but if this server is to follow a classic timeline, Sol Ro is a month before Plane of Hate. Sol Ro is a really important patch. Nilbog's timeline is only correct in the sense that he is (as another so eloquently put it) the judge, jury and executioner. He could choose to release Luclin tomorrow. Greens timeline might not follow your rule, Furitor, because patches are being released in monthly bundles. Shouldn't November Hate release = the corresponding Green month of June as we are getting monthly patch bundles?

Nilbog's timeline is going to be just as fun as if it were a classic timeline. It's just a little disappointing that everything on his timeline lines up except for Sol Ro and Hate releases!

Please edit the wiki timeline yourself if you don't like the info on it. I am trying to find as much patch info that is to note as possible, and I try to leave skepticism out of the wiki timeline. Lustrous armor become War only is pretty skeptical based upon the weak evidence, but that's probably the only truly skeptical change I've added to the timeline. There is supposed patch evidence on the change, but I don't believe the change ever actually made it in. Lustrous was removed from loot table with the launch of the warrior only set of a different name come Hate.

P99 devs are not following the wiki timeline. That is purely player written based upon what evidence we have to work with. I mean.. maybe the reference it.

You guys should count your lucky charms that the p99 staff are largely unemployed and have nothing better to do than field your complaints.

The AE cap suppose to be raised to 25 today. Anyone test that out yet? Really it shouldn't have even a 25 cap, though they likely will cap it for what it's at on blue. 25

Didn't seem to be a patch today. Someone tested the AE limit just a couple hours ago and it's still 4.

DoT Changes
If the monster is in melee with you, there is no change to how a DoT spell works.
If the monster is running away from you (fear, wounded, etc.), there is no change to how a DoT spell works.
If the monster is moving when the damage from the DoT is applied (happens every few seconds), it will take 66% of the damage that it would have taken.
DoT spells have all had their duration slightly increased. If the monster moves for 18 seconds during a fight, it will take as much damage from the DoT as it would before the patch. If the monster moves for less then 18 seconds during a fight, your DoT will do more damage then it would have done before the patch. If the monster moves more then 18 seconds during the fight, it will take less damage then it would have before the patch.

- A bug in some of the AoE code has been fixed. AoE spells will now
effect more monsters.

Just noticed this as well. They reverted their change to Lustrous Russet armor becoming warrior only the same month they changed it to warrior only. IT DID HAPPEN! hehe I made note on the wiki timeline.

September 14, 1999

Items:
Lustrous Russet Armor, the Hero Bracer, Order of Thunder and the Box of Abu-Kar have been returned to their previous statistics.

Stop using nilbog original green announcement post. It was estimates. So far they have gone by actual 1999 release months, not days. Everything that launched in Sept 1999 would have hit yesterday. Oct 1999 will be May 1st. Nov 1999 would be June 5th. Meaning hate will launch June 5th. Obviously they can change their release system at any time but so far it's been based on 1999 releases and everything in said month lands first Friday of the equivalent month.

Does anyone know if they changed the continuing LR drops to War only, or if it was a retroactive nerf to all previously dropped LR that they then reverted? I've seen some ZAM posts indicating it completely stopped dropping right before solro. Is this when it stopped?
